     Betty Ruth Urmey was born on 26 October 1919 at Ferndale, Michigan.1,2 She was the daughter of Harry Eugene Urmey and Mary Agnes Montross.1 She was recorded in the census of her parents, Harry Eugene Urmey and Mary Agnes Montross, on 16 April 1930 at Ferndale, Oakland County, Michigan.3 She married Stephen Kocsis, son of Stephen Kocsis and Mary Kutz, on 17 April 1939 at Michigan.4 She and Stephen appeared on the census of 16 April 1940 in Ferndale, Oakland County, Michigan.5 On 10 April 1944 Betty and Stephen were divorced.6 Betty married for a second time to Louis Francis Van Amburgh, son of Frank Van Amburgh and Alice Fagan, on 3 March 1947 at Toledo, Ohio.4 Betty Ruth Urmey died on 9 June 2010 at Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York, at age 90; Copied from her Obituary "the daughter of Henry and Mary Montross Urmey . On March 3, 1947 in Toledo, OH. Betty married Louis F. VanAmburgh. Mr VanAmburgh predeceased her on January 24, 2003. Mrs. VanAmburgh was employed by Fitchett Bros. Dairy as a secretary. She is survived by her 3 children; Betty Ann Castellano of Montgomery, NY, Stephen VanAmburgh of Sweet Home, OR., and Louis VanAmburgh of Pleasant Valley; 15 grandchildren; and many great and great great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Harriet Holland of Dearborn, MI".7

     Alan Ray Vette was born on 11 November 1919 at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.1 He was the son of Ira Vette and Alma Julia Ishmael.1 Alan Ray Vette was included in the census of Ira Vette and Alma Julia Ishmael on 15 April 1930 at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.2 Alan Ray Vette began military service on 13 January 1942 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi.1 He married Essie Lee (?) circa 1966.1 Alan Ray Vette ended military service in 1975 at Patrick Air Froce Base, Cocoa Beach, Florida. Col. Vette "flew as an enlisted pilot until 1945 when he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant. Colonel Vette held staff and command positions in Military Airlift Command, Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service and Air Training Command. He retired from Patrick Air Force Base in 1975 where he served as the Director of Manned Space Flight Support Office. He served on active duty with the U.S. Air Force for 33 years. He was a command pilot with over 8,000 flying hours and was a graduate of the Air Command and Staff College. He served with distinction in WW II, Korea and Vietnam. Among his numerous awards and decorations are the Silver Star, Joint Service Commendation, Distinguished Flying Cross with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, the Air Force Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Exceptional Service Medal. During his tour of duty in Vietnam, he was credited with 101 combat rescue missions as Commander of the 37th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron".1 He died on 2 September 2013 at Florada at age 93; From his Obituary: 1) "Col.      Owen F. "Hoot" Hill was born on 20 December 1920 at Rodon, Nova Scotia; The 1930 U.S. Census listed his birth place as Maine.2,3,4 He was the son of Andrew Hill and Hannah West Walker.2 Owen F. "Hoot" Hill married Ruth M Walker, daughter of Ralph Morrell Walker and Gladys Morrell, on 20 February 1943 at Maine.1 Owen F. "Hoot" Hill died on 16 June 2007 at York County, Maine, at age 86; Dr. Owen "Hoot" Hill Hoot Hill, 86, passed away surrounded by his family at H. D. Goodall Hospital on June 16, 2007. He was born in Rawdon, Nova Scotia and grew up in Buxton. He graduated from Buxton High School in 1938, and from Gorham Teachers College in 1942. He married his college sweetheart, Ruth Morrell Walker, days before he left Maine to fight in WWII. He graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 1943. He served in Seattle, New York City and on the U.S.S. Abilene. In 1951 he was awarded a doctorate by Columbia University. He worked as a School Business Official, first in New Britain, Conn., then Gary, Ind., and finally in Manhasset, N.Y. While in New York he gained state-wide recognition as a leader in his field. He was elected President of the New York State Association of School Business Officials, and served as a Lecturer at St. John's University in Queens. The auditorium in the Shelter Rock School in Manhasset is named for him. In 1981 he retired to his wife's family farm in North Berwick. He wintered in Port Charlotte, Fla. near many members of his family. He was extremely grateful for his family, friends, and farm. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Walker Hill; daughter, Linda Hill O'Bannon and son-in-law, Kenneth L. O'Bannon; son, Hugh Hill and daughter-in-law, Nancy Mabon Hill; grandson, Owen Thomas Hill; his sisters-in-law, Margaret Johnson Hill, Marion Walker Burke, and Norma Walker Allen; many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Hannah and Andrew Hill; his brothers, Norman S. Hill, Robert H. Hill and Warren G. Hill; his brother-in-law, Lloyd E. Walker, his former brother-in-law, Harry Burke; and his sisters-in-law, Arlene Rowe Hill and Catherine Lewis Hill. A funeral service was held on Saturday at the First Congregational Church of North Berwick. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Congregational Church of North Berwick, PO Box 565, North Berwick, ME 03906.2,5
