     Mary Mae Lemon was born in 1903 at Harrisville, Michigan.¹ She was the daughter of Daniel/David Alexander Lemon and Amelia Mercier.¹ Mary was included in the census of her parents, Daniel and Amelia Lemon on 18 April 1910 at Hawes, Alcona County, Michigan.³ She was also included in the census of her parents on 9 January 1920 at Onaway, Presque Isle County, Michigan.⁴ She married Leo Joseph Pratt, son of John L Pratt and Marie Adelina Merchant, on 16 June 1924 at Onaway, Presque Isle County, Michigan.¹ Mary and Leo Pratt appeared on the census of 9 April 1930 in Benton, Cheboygan County, Michigan.⁵ They appeared on the census of 12 April 1940 in Aloha, Cheboygan County, Michigan.⁶ Mary was included in the obituary of her daughter, Gertrude Theresa Pratt, on 18 September 2008 at Cheboygan; From that obituary in the Cheboygan Daily Tribune 30 Sep 2008: "A lifelong resident of Cheboygan, Theresa was born May 15, 1931 in Benton Township, the daughter of Leo and Mary (Lemon) Pratt.; Surviving are two sisters, Rosella Smith of Watford and Evelyn (Don) Passino of Indian River, and two brothers, Ken (Jen) Pratt and Leonard (Gloria) Pratt, both of Cheboygan, A brother-in-law, Gene Michelin of Keego Harbor, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her parents, two sisters, Phyllis Michelin and Della Bell, and two brothers in law. Cayton Bell and Joe Smth".^2,7,8

     Mary Alice McGraw was born in 1903.¹ She was the daughter of James Henry McGraw and Belle Baker.² Mary Alice McGraw married John Leslie Steele, son of John Floyd Steele and Salona Alice Selvey, on 10 July 1920 at Fayette County, West Virginia.^1,2 Mary Alice McGraw and John Leslie Steele appeared on the census of 4 April 1930 in Falls, Fayette County, West Virginia.³ They appeared on the census of 15 April 1940 in Mountain Cove, Fayette County, West Virginia.⁴ "Alice" Steele was included on the World War II draft card of John Leslie Steele on 16 February 1942 at Ansted, Fayette County, West Virginia.⁵ Mary Alice McGraw died in 1986.¹ She was buried in 1986 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Ansted, Fayette County, West Virgini.⁶

     Fred S. Armstrong was also known as Fred Sanders Armstrong.² He was born on 15 January 1903.² He was the son of Henry Clay Armstrong and Minnie J. Sanders.¹ Fred was living with his mother for the census of on 16 April 1910 at Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas.³ Fred was again recorded in the census of his mother on 10 January 1920 at Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas.⁴ He was still in the home of his mother for the census of in April 1930 at Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas.¹ Fred S. Armstrong died in 1938 at Arkansas. Fred was Lawyer by proffesion and "President Pro Tempore of the Arkansas Senate at the time of Death."⁵

     Isaac Forth was born on 18 January 1903 at Kirton, Boston, Lincolnshire, England.^1,2,3 He was the son of John Hunt Forth and Harriett Ellen Holmes.¹ Isaac was included in the census of his parents, John and Harriett Holmes, on 2 April 1911 at Kirton End, Kirton, Boston, Lincolnshire, England.¹ Isaac Forth married Rhoda Horry, daughter of George Horry and Flora (?), between 1 October 1933 and 31 December 1933 at Boston, Lincolnshire, England.⁴ Isaac Forth and Rhoda Horry appeared on the 1939 Register in Coronation Cottage Bull Drove, Wrangle Bank ., Boston R.D., Lincolnshire, England; Isaac was working as a Farm Lorry Driver.⁵ Isaac Forth died between 1 July 1978 and 30 September 1978 at Boston, Lincolnshire, England.⁶ He and Rhoda Horry appeared to have had no children.⁵

     Charles Hamilton Burke was born on 21 January 1903 at Nevada.^1,2 He was the son of Charles Hamilton Burke and Lucy Antoinette Holcomb.¹ Charles Hamilton Burke was recorded in the census of Charles Hamilton Burke and Lucy Antoinette Holcomb on 16 April 1910 at Reno.³ Charles Hamilton Burke was recorded in the census of Charles Hamilton Burke and Lucy Antoinette Holcomb on 6 January 1920 at Reno, Washoe County, Nevada.¹ Charles died on 2 April 1981 at Reno, Washoe County, Nevada, at age 78.²

     William Byard Brewster was born on 21 January 1903.^1,2 He was the son of Reginald Raymond Brewster and Grace Sloane.² William Byard Brewster married Frances P. Hulse, daughter of Thurston Carlisle Hulse and Hallie H Stewart, on 1 June 1926 at Jackson County, Missouri.^1,3 William Byard Brewster and Frances P. Hulse appeared on the census of 28 April 1930 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.⁴ They also appeared on the census of after 12 April 1940 in Kaw, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.⁵ William Byard Brewster was recorded on a 1942 World War II Draft Registration Card His contact was listed as Mrs. W. B. Brewster. He was employed by Brewster, Brewster & Brewster (Law Firm), 1007 Federal Res. Bank Bldg. on 16 February 1942 at Kancsas City, Jackson County, Missouri.⁶ He died on 19 September 1951 at Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, at age 48.²

     Arthur W. Ziehlke was born on 22 January 1903 at Illinois.¹ He was the son of Fred W. Ziehlke and Bertha Metz.³ Arthur W. Ziehlke was recorded in the census of Fred W. Ziehlke and Bertha Metz on 21 April 1910 at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.² Arthur W. Ziehlke was recorded in census of Fred W. Ziehlke married Frances Catherine "Katie" Diesing, daughter of Franz Xavier Joseph "Frank" Diesing and Bertha Greinke, after 14 January 1920.¹ Arthur and Frances appeared next door to her father on the census of 5 April 1940 in Palos, Cook County, Illinois.⁵ Arthur W. Ziehlke died on 22 August 1982 at Worth, Cook County, Illinois, at age 79.^1,6

     Merrill J. Hawker was born on 4 February 1903 at Cucamonga, California.^1,3 He was the son of John Robert Hawker and Rose (?)² Merrill J. Hawker was recorded in the census of his parents, John Robert Hawker and Rose (?), on 17 May 1910 at Cucamonga, San Bernardino County, California.⁴ Marrill was included census of his parents on 26 January 1920 at Cucamonga, San Bernardino County, California.² He was included in the census of his widowed mother, Rose Hawker, on 30 April 1930 at Cucamonga, California.⁵ Merrill was also included in the census of his widowed mother on 27 April 1940 at Cucamonga, California.⁶ Merrill J.      Adeline M. Dine Schmalbeck was born on 13 March 1903 at Illinois.^4,1 She was the daughter of Otto C Schmalbeck and Emily Amelia Gehrke.³ Adeline M.      Sarah Pearl Price was born on 3 May 1903.¹ She married Alanzo Ralph Steele, son of Alexander Pleasant Steele and Martha Matilda Sowder, on 12 December 1922.^3,2 Sarah Pearl Price died on 20 October 1989 at age 86.¹

     Gertrude L Walter was also known as Gertrud L Orup.² She was born on 26 May 1903 at Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas.^1,3 She was the daughter of Oscar F Walter and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Johnson.¹ Gertrude L Walter was included in the census of Frank Orup and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Johnson on 19 April 1910 at Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas.¹ Gertrude L Walter was recorded in the state census at Quindaro Township, Wyandotte County, Kansas, of Frank Orup and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Johnson in 1915; This cesus also included a Harry Orup, male, 14 which may have been listed as Mamie H on the 1900 census?⁴ Gertrude L Walter was included in the census of Frank Orup and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Johnson on 3 January 1920 at Welborn, Wyandotte County, Kansas.² Gertrude L Walter married Carl Bernhard Reinhold Orup, son of Frank Orup and Hannah Christine Rosenberg, at Kansas; Carl and Gertrude appear to have been step-brother and step-sister.³ Gertrude L Walter died on 19 October 1967 at Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas, at age 64.³

     Norman Uriah Pratt was born on 2 July 1903 at Belvidere, Boone County, Illinois.^4,5 He was the son of William Joseph Pratt and Amalie "Mollie" Auguste Albrecht.^2,3 He was baptized on 21 August 1903 at Evangelical Luthran Church, Belvidere, Boone County, Illinois. The batism was witnessed by Christine Heinemann and Sophie Braun.⁶
     He was listed in the Household of his parents, Bill and Mollie Pratt on 17 April 1910 at Belvidere, Boone County, Illinois.¹ Sadly, his father, William Pratt, died of septicemia which resulted from a burst appendix on 23 February 1918 at Belvidere. Having his father, as he lay dieing, tell Norm what would be expected of him had a huge effect on Norm for the rest of his life; Bill suffered for a long time with intestinal problems which may have been appendicitis. He died of peritonitis (listed on his death certificate as a septic infection) resulting from a burst appendix. From an obituary Sunday, February 24, 1918 "survive one daughter, Hazel, three sons, William R., Norman and Fred, all of Belvidere, his father, Uriah Pratt of Detroit and two sisters, Miss J. Pratt of Chicago and Mrs. C Montross of Detroit. The deceased has lived in Belvidere eighteen years, and was a well known and respected citizen.^7,8,9" Norm, was a 16 year old student and Janitor at a Photography Studio when was listed in the 1920 census of his widowed mother at Belvidere.¹⁰ After recieving a ROTC scolarship to Stanford University, he and his mother left Illinois for the Bay area at California.¹¹ After receiving a ROTC scholarship to attend Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, Norm and his mother traveled west in 1925. He attended Stanford between September 1925 and June 1929.¹² He graduated in June 1929 with a BA degree in Business and Economics.
     As a result of his ROTC training, after graduating Norm recieved an appointment as Second Lieutenant of Field Artillery in U.S. Army Reserve on 20 December 1929. He would later receive a teachers deferment at the beginning of World War Two.¹³ After graduation, he went to work for PriceWaterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) where he worked as an estate auditor.. While working there, he appeared on the census of 3 April 1930 at 1538 Filbert Street, San Francisco, California.¹⁴
     After graduating from Stanford, Norm After realizing that he was not suited for a corporate life, he returned to Stanford eventually earning a lifetime Teachers credential before the beginning of WWII. He then taught business related courses at San Jose City College and Abraham Lincoln High School in San Jose, California. As a teacher, he felt that his greatest achievement was that while he gave a number of incompletes, he never had to failed a student and all of the incompletes he gave were later made up by the students who received them. After teaching, Norm became comptroller of the large San Jose Unified School District. He retired from the shcool district at the end of June in 1963. After retirement he worked as a bookkeeper for a wine tasting business and sold real estate in Vacaville, California.
     Norm had married Marion Rebecca Burke, daughter of Harry Eugene Burke Sr. and Marion Josephine Armstrong, on 19 November 1932 at Palo Alto, California; They were married in the home of Marion's Father, H.E. Burke.¹⁵ After living in Menlo Park and Campbell California, Norm and his family settled into an apartment in the home of Marion's father where they were included in the census of, Harry Eugene Burke Sr. and Marion Josephine Armstrong, on 3 May 1940 at Redwood Township (Los Gatos), California.¹⁶ On 14 February 1942Norman Uriah Pratt was recorded on a World War II Draft Registration Card at Rt 3 - Box 979, Los Gatos, Santa Clara County, California.¹⁷ As of 1944, the address of Norman Uriah Pratt and Marion Rebecca Burke was RT 3 Box 97A, Los Gatos, Santa Clara County, California.¹⁸ Norman Uriah Pratt witnessed the census of Harry Eugene Burke Sr. and Marion Josephine Armstrong on 15 April 1950 at Redwood Township (Los Gatos), Santa Clara County, California.^19,20 To be closer to their son David and His young family, in 1976, Norman Uriah Pratt migrated to at Lacey, Thurston County, Washington. There he grew Orchids, did various wood working projects and happily watched his grandchildren grow. He and Marion were still living their when, while on a trip, Norm died while visiting he other son, Paul, in Benicia California.¹²
     Norm and Dr. Alfred Lester Coester had a closed personal relationship. Alfred was a professor of Spanish American Literature at Stanford University. Norm had worked for and lived in Alfie's Chauffer'ss.dak. apartment while attending Stanford, University and Alfred treated Norm much as he might have treated his own son. After the death of Alfred's second wife, Alfred became a common sight in the Burke-Pratt household sharing many Sunday dinners with the Pratt's and Burke's. When Norms son's, Paul and David, became tired of Alfies stories at those Sunday dinners, they would come up with a reason to leave the table as fast as possible. It was not long before Alfred fondly began to refer to them as the gobble and get boys! After Alfred's retirement from Stanford, the Pratt's, at Alfred's expense, built a cottage on their property at Wanda Lane in Los Gatis where Alfred to live for the remainder of his life. at Palo Alto, California. Norman and Marion though enough of "Alfie" to make him godfather to son David and use Coester as his middle name.¹¹
     Over his life time, he was a strong supported of education and considered himself a non-partisan person. As a demonstration of that fact he shortly before his death he provided the fallowing: "A Mugwump's Voting Record.
