     Beate Luise Drewitz was born on 1 July 1807 at Popowe, Posen, Prussia.3 She was the daughter of George Drewitz and Maria Elizabeth Achtenbergen.2 Beate Luise Drewitz was baptized on 19 July 1807 at Evangelical Parish, Wronke, Posen, Prussia.1 She married Johann Blese, son of Michael Blese and Maria Elizabeth Pokerant, on 24 April 1828 at Evangelical Parish, Wronke, Posen, Prussia.1 John and Loise, along with Emilie, Julia and Albertine were found on a passenger list on 18 January 1860 at New York, New York; They arrivied on the Ship "Hammonia" out of Southampton, England. This is the correct family if Alwine and Albertine are the same person. All (of the family) ages are a close match.4 Johann and Beate appeared on the census of 11 June 1870 in Milford, Jefferson County, Wisconsin. They are listed as John and Bertha Blosa on the ancestry.com search index.5 Beate Luise Drewitz died on 31 December 1872 at Watertown, Dodge County, Wisconsin, at age 65; The county line between Doge and Jefferson Counties runs through the City of Watertown. Her burial occured on 3 Jan 1873 in the Immanuel Lutheran Cem, Farmington.6

     Rev Philip Clayton Slaughter was born on 26 October 1808 at Culpeper County, Virginia.1 He was the son of Capt Philip Pendleton Slaughter and Margaret " Peggy" French Strother.1 Rev Philip Clayton Slaughter married Anna Sophia Semmes, daughter of Thomas Semmes and Sophia Wilson Potts, before 1830.2 Rev Philip Clayton Slaughter and Anna Sophia Semmes appeared on the census of 8 August 1860 in Culpeper Court House, Culpeper County, Virginia.3 Rev Philip Clayton Slaughter and Anna Sophia Semmes appeared on the census of 5 August 1870 in Salem, Culpeper County, Virginia.4 Rev Philip Clayton Slaughter and Anna Sophia Semmes appeared on the census of 7 June 1880 in Cedar Mountain, Culpeper County, Virginia.5 Rev Philip Clayton Slaughter died on 20 June 1890 at Culpeper, California, at age 81; Posted at Find-A-Grave (from Encyclopedia of Virginia Biography, VIII--Prominent Persons): "Philip Slaughter, clergyman, was born at "Springfield", near Slaughter Mountain (Cedar Mountain) in Culpeper, Virginia, October 26, 1808; son of Capt. Philip Slaughter, of the Eleventh Continental Regiment, Army of the Revolution. He was educated at the University of Virginia and was selected to read the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1826, the day that Jefferson died. Philip was educated privately and at the academy at Winchester, Virginia; studied at the University of Virginia, 1825-1826; issued a license to practice law in Culpeper and practiced there from 1828 to 1832. He entered the Episcopal Theological Seminary, Alexandria, Virginia, 1833; was ordained deacon in Trinity Church, Staunton, 1834, and priest in St. Paul's Church, Alexandria, 1835. He was rector at Dettingen, Virginia; of Christ Church, Georgetown, District of Columbia, 1836-1840; of the parishes of Meade and Johns, 1840-1843, and St. Paul's Church, Petersburg, Virginia, 1843-1848. On account of ill health he spent 1848-1849 in foreign travel. In 1856 he erected a church on his own land in Culpeper County, and officiated there without remuneration until the Federal Army destroyed it in 1862. He then preached in
his own house, in camps and hospitals. In 1874 he received the degree of D. D. from William and Mary College. The church convention made him historiographer of the diocese of Virginia. He edited "The Virginia Colonizationist" (1850); "The Army and Navy Messenger"; "The Southern Church" (1865); and is the author of: "St. George's Parish History" (1847); "Man and Woman" (1860); "Life of Randolph Fairfax" (1862); "A History of St. Mark's Parish" containing much genealogy about Culpeper County (1877); "Life of Col. Joshua Fry" (1880); "Historic Churches of Virginia" (1882); "Life of Hon. William Green" (1883); "Views from Cedar Mountains" (1884); "The Colonial Church of Virginia" (1885); "Christianity the Key to the Character and Career of Washington" (1886); and an "Address to the Minute-Men of Culpeper" (1887). Toward the end of his life, he served as rector at Emmanuel Church, Rapidan, Va. He died in Culpeper County, Virginia, June 12, 1890. He was buried at Calvary Church, which had been rebuilt in Mitchells, Va., but after it burned, he was re-buried at All Saints, the site of his original church on the eastern slope of Cedar Mountain

     Mary Reynolds was born on 1 November 1808 at Kentucky.1 She was the daughter of Richard Reynolds and Martha Proctor.1 Mary first married David McCamish circa 1827 at Illinois. They had at least two children.2,3 She then married Preston Ishmael, son of Thomas Ishmael, on 15 January 1831 at Schuyler County, Illinois; Recorded, VR, Schuyler Co Courthouse and reported in the Combined History of Schuyler and Brown Co, Il, W. R. Brink and Co.4,3 Mary Reynolds and Preston Ishmael appeared on the census of 1840 in Brown County, Illinois.5 They appeared on the census of 26 September 1850 in District 24, Grant County, Wisconsin.4 A widowed Mary Ishmael appeared on the census of 16 July 1860 in Beetown, Grant County, Wisconsin.6 She married John Cull on 11 July 1869 at Grant County, Wisconsin.3 Mary Reynolds and John Cull appeared on the census of 12 June 1880 in Beetown, Grant County, Wisconsin.7 Mary Reynolds died on 17 September 1891 at Beetown, Grant County, Wisconsin, at age 82.8

     John Peyton Brown was born on 22 November 1808 at Charles Town, Jefferson County, West Virginia.1 He was the son of James Brown and Eleanor Rutherford.1,2 John Peyton Brown married Mary Elizabeth Fulton, daughter of Robert Fulton and Margaret (Peggy) Brown, before 1 May 1839 at Charles Town, Jefferson County, West Virginia.3 John Peyton Brown and Mary Elizabeth Fulton appeared on the census of 10 July 1850 in Charlestown, Jefferson County, Virginia.4 John and Mary appeared on the census of 3 September 1860 in Jefferson County, Virginia.5 They are recorded on the census of 19 July 1870 in Charles Town, Jefferson County, West Virginia.6 John and Mary are also recorded on the census of 14 June 1880 in Charles Town, Jefferson County, West Virginia.7 He died on 10 June 1892 at Charles Town at age 83.1
