Margaret "Peggy" Ann Dickerson was born on 12 October 1827 at Russell County, Virginia.1 She was the daughter of William Hugh Dickerson and Mildred "Milly" Templeton.1 Margaret "Peggy" Ann Dickerson married Calvin Perkins circa 1837 at Kansas.2,3 Margaret "Peggy" Ann Dickerson married James Porter Pallette, son of William Pallette and N. Eleanor "Eleanor" Barnett, on 26 February 1857 at Jackson County, Missouri; James Pallett and Margaret Perkins.3,4 Margaret "Peggy" Ann Dickerson and James Porter Pallette appeared on the census of 17 July 1860 in Sniabar, Jackson County, Missouri.2 By then a widow for the second time, Margaret Dickerson Perkins Pallett appeared on the census of 1 August 1870 in Sni-A-Bar, Jackson County, Missouri; Her census record included son's John and Charles.5 Margaret "Peggy" Ann Dickerson died on 13 February 1906 at Jackson County, Missouri, at age 78.6 She From a note posted at Find-A-Grave "Peggy was the daughter of Hugh Dickenson & Mildred Templeton. In the early 1830's she traveled with her parents and one sister from Russell Co., VA. to Missouri; Married 1st: Calvin Perkins who died in Kansas Territory; To them were born 4 children: William Hugh Perkins (buried in Mecklin Cemetery), Appolonia Miranda (Perkins) Fagg, Ellen Jerusha Elizabeth Angeline (Perkins) Williams, (died in Kennewick, WA.); - Married 2nd: James Porter Pallette who died during the Civil War in Arkansas. - To them were born 3 sons: Joseph Archibald Pallette, John William Pallette, Charles Beauregard Pallette; Peggy endured raising her 7 children in Jackson Co., MO". NOTE: The birth date given for Peggy (oct 1827) seems to be a problem in reguard to her marriage to Calvin Perkins. The birth date of their first child William Hugh of 1838 would meant that she would have been 11 at the time of his brith. If the dates are correct, he was probably not Peggy's son. For that matter, Appolonia might not be her daughter either. They may have been her step-children.6
