     George Amon was born on 11 January 1859.¹ He was the son of Conrad Amon and Matilda Heberling.¹ George Amon married Alice Weaver after 1870.¹ George Amon was included in the census of Conrad Amon and Matilda Heberling on 12 July 1870 at Clay, St Joseph County, Indiana.² George Amon died on 23 January 1934 at Niles, Michigan, at age 75; Father listed as Conrad Amon. Mother as Malinda Gundman. From an Obituary posted at Faind-A-Grave: "Severely injured when wood he was hauling fell upon him, George Amon, 75, 105 Barrett street, died at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in Pawating hospital. Mr. Amon, who was a carpenter by trade, was born in Reading, Pa., on Jan. 11, 1859.Besides his wife, Alice, the deceased is survived by five daughters, Mrs. George Radewald, Niles; Mrs. Alice Lackey, Buchanan, and Ms. Elmer Weltzgirn, Niles; three sons, William Amon, Elkhart Ind; Roy Amon, Niles, and Fred Amon, Detroit; three brothers, Wilson and Harry Amon, Niles, and Albert Amon, living in California; a sister, Mrs. Martin Wenzel, Niles, and 24 grandchildren".¹

     Cornelius Aldophus Cutchins was born on 17 January 1859 at Virginia.^2,4,3 He was the son of John Anthony Cutchins and Treacy Holland.³ Cornelius Aldophus Cutchins married Lelia J. Dickerson, on 17 July 1860 at Sni a bar, Jackson County.¹ He was included in the census of father and step-mother, Griffith Dickerson "Dick" Steele and Eliza Jane Smith, on 1 August 1870 at Cañon City, Fremont County, Colorado.⁴ Pike was also included in the census of Griffith and Eliza Steele on 3 June 1880 at Weston, Oregon.⁵ He married Jeannette Grant Barber, daughter of Thomas Young Barber and Louisa "Susan" Young, on 5 May 1884 at Walla Walla County, Washington.^6,7,8 Between 1893 and 1897, Pike and Jeannette migrated to at Trail, British Columbia, Canada.⁹ Alexander Evans "Pike" Steele and Jeannette Grant Barber appeared on the census of 27 April 1901 in Trail City, Rassland Riding, Yale and Cariboo, British Columbia, Canada.¹⁰ Jeannette and "Pike" appeared on the census of 1911 at 473 Gone, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.¹¹ Alexander Evans "Pike" Steele Alexander made a passport application to travel with his wife, Jenette G. to leave form the port of New Orleans aboard the United Fruit Line on December 15, 1919 to Cuba on Merchantile Business. In an affidavit he swor "that he was a native of Jackson County, in the State of Missouri, and that he was born in said County of Jacskson on the 27th day of January, A.D. 1859; that he was born on a farm about twenty miles from the City of Indepaenence, the County Seat of said Jackson County, and that according to his best information and belief no record has ever been kept, and is therefore obtainable of his said birth; -- that affiant is married, having been married to Jenette Barber in the year 1884, in the City of Walla Walla, State of Washinton ; that three sons were born of said marriage, all of whom are majors and all of whom have served in the Army of the United States during the past war:" on 24 November 1919 at Los Angeles, California.¹² They were recorded on the census of 21 February 1920 in San Diego, San Diego County, California.¹³ He and Jeannette Grant Barber were found on a passenger list on 20 June 1920 at New Orleans, Louisiana. Arrriving from Havana, Cuba aboard the S.S. Hermdia.¹⁴ They had moved to Los Angeles by the census of 19 April 1930 in Los Angeles, California.⁶ They also appeared on the census of 6 April 1940 in Los Angeles.¹⁵ Alexander Evans "Pike" Steele died on 14 March 1951 at 1927 Bradshaw Avenue, Monterey Park, Los Angeles County, California, at age 92.³ He Alexanders passport papers in 1919 indicate that there were only 3 sons born to his marriage to Jeannette. Was he only reffering to his U.S. born son's? Son Mark Twain Steele was born in British Columbia, Canada. Since they have never been found together, it is also possible that Thomas and Eugene are the same person!¹²

When or why he moved to California isn't knowen, but Uriah Wolf Pratt married Estella Heryford, daughter of Thomas Heryford and Elizabeth (?), on 3 September 1890 at Neenach, Los Angeles County, California.^9,10 Estella was boarding with her sister and husband, Robert and Lizzie Gilmore when Uriah, who listed himself as a single farmer when appeared on the census of 1 June 1900 in Fairmont, Los Angeles County, California.⁵ He must have been divorced from Estella for he married Annie White, daughter of Moses White and Anna Cushing, on 23 January 1909 at Los Angeles, California.^11,12 Uriah was mining when he and Annie appeared together on the census of 29 April 1910 in San Gabriel, Los Angeles County.¹¹ Uriah was still mining when he appeared living with his forman on the census of 28 January 1920 in Riverside, California.¹³ Still listing himself as married, Uriah Wolf Pratt listed himself as an Agriculturalist in Fruit when he last appeared on the census of 23 April 1930 in Fairmont, Los Angeles County.¹⁴ Uriah died on 5 February 1934 at Los Angeles County, California, at age 74.¹⁵

     Anna Mary Gray was born in April 1859 at Missouri; Actually born in Texas?² She married James Newton Steele, son of Samuel Jackson Steele and Mary Catherine Snodgrass, on 21 August 1879 at Jackson County, Missouri.^1,3 Anna Mary Gray and James Newton Steele appeared on the census of 25 June 1880 in Sniabar, Jackson County, Missouri; This census included Anna's brother, Charles E.      Eleanor "Nellie" Braden Dunlaney was born on 3 December 1859 at Marshall, Clark County, Illinois.² She was the daughter of Robert Leroy Dunlaney and Elizabeth E. Bartlett.² Eleanor "Nellie" Braden Dunlaney married Julius Preston Barclay, son of Samuel A. Barclay and Louisa B. Douglas, on 2 March 1886 at Clark County, Illinois.^2,3 Eleanor "Nellie" Braden Dunlaney and Julius Preston Barclay appeared on the census of 2 June 1900 in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.⁴ Eleanor "Nellie" Braden Dunlaney died on 31 May 1926 at San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, at age 66.²

     Pearl Leaper Woodruff was born circa 1860 at Michigan.^1,3 He was the son of Henry S. Woodruff and Harriett S. Sherburn.¹ Pearl Leaper Woodruff was included in the census of his parents, Henry S. Woodruff and Harriett S. Sherburn, on 18 August 1870 at Georgetown, Ottawa County, Michigan.³ Pearl was also included in the census of his parents on 12 June 1880 at Holland, Ottawa County, Michigan.² Pearl Leaper Woodruff married Nellie/Millie Minnie DeVoss, daughter of Tens DeVoss, on 12 August 1902 at Grand Rapids, Michigan.¹ Pearl Leaper Woodruff was included in the census of William Elerick and Adaline Nightengale on 19 April 1910 at Ward 9, Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan.⁴ Pearl Leaper Woodruff and Nellie/Millie Minnie DeVoss appeared on the census of 5 January 1920 in Odessa, Ionia County, Michigan.⁵
