     Thomas Cox immigrated circa 1650 to Virginia; From England.2 He migrated after 1661 to New Town, Long Island County, New York; "Old plate, somewhat elaborately decorated, and bearing the date of 1661, which has been handed down from generation to generation and which is said to have been the brought by one of the family, from Virginia."1 He married Elizabeth Blashford on 22 April 1665 in Newtown, Long Island County, New York; Marriage license issued by the Colonial Governor, Richard Nicolls, of New York. Extract: "Whereas I have recieved information of a mutual intent and agreement between Thomas Cox of Marshpath Kills in ye Lymmits of New Towne, and Elizabeth Blashford to enter into state of matrimony, and that there lyeth no lawful obstacle or obligation on either part to hinder the performance thereof, I do hereby grant unto them Lycences so to do--and do also require one of ye Justices of ye peace of ye North Ryding of Yorkshire upon Long Island or ye Minister of som Parish therein to Joyne the said Thomas Cox and Elizabeth Blashford in Marryage, and to pronounce them man and wife and so to record them according to the law made in that behalf, for doing whereof this shall be sufficient warrent. Given under my hand and Seal at James Hart in New York this 22nd day of April, 1665."3 Thomas Cox moved after August 1665 to Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey.1 In 1667, Thomas was chosen one of the overseers of the fence around common cattle lands.4 On January 4th, 1668, the Town Clerk recorded that "Tho: Cocks his marke is the top of the right eare cutt off and a swallow taile and a hole in the left eare." He died in August 1681 at Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey.1

Potts and Joan Kettle.2 Thomas J Potts emigrated in October 1678 from Hull, England; In the ship "Shield".3 He married Mary Records, daughter of Nathaniel Records, on 20 June 1698 at Burlington, New Jersey.2,4 Thomas J Potts a member of the Society of Friends.5

     (?) Albrecht The given or baptismal names for August Frederick's father is unknown. His origin is also unknown but it appears that he had at least the three children. All that can really be said about him is that he appears to have had at least 3 sons who were probably born in Krojanke parish of what is now Zlotow, Poland and descendants of all three eventually migrated to the Fort Wayne region of Indiana.2
