     Charlie Downs was born on 28 March 1872 at Northamptonshire, England.4,5 He was the son of Thomas Downs and Anna Maria Bellairs.2,3 He was baptized on 4 August 1872 at Colly Waston, Norhamptonshire, England.6 Charlie Downs was included in the census of his parents Thomas and Ann Downs, on 3 April 1881 at Colly Weston.3 Charlie was included in the census of his parents, Thomas Downs and Anna Maria Bellairs, on 5 April 1891 at Colly Weston, Northamptonshire, England; This census included a grandaughter, Alice A. Downs, age 6, born at Colly Weston.7 Charlie, working as a Slate Laborer, was also included in the census of his parents on 21 March 1901 at Colly Weston.8 Charlie Downs married Alice Ann Pratt, daughter of Daniel Pratt and Harriet Marchant, between 1 April 1906 and 30 June 1906 at Peterborough, Northamptonshire, England; How ever, the 1911 England Census record for Charles and Alice Downs in Peterborough lists William Marriott as the mother of Alice. The 1911 England Census list Charlie and Alice Downs living in Thorney, Northamptonshire (should be Cambridgeshire). Residing with them was Charlie's father Thomas. So, Charlie and Charles were different people both being married to Alice.      John George Roemmich was born on 25 November 1872 at Scammon, Cherokee County, Kansas.1,2 He was the son of Jakob Roemmich and Anna Phillipina Kuhn.2 John George Roemmich married Nancy Ellen Campbell, daughter of William Young Campbell and Martha Jane Gleavel.1 John and Nancy were recorded with his parents, John George Roemmich and Nancy Ellen Campbell, when they appeared on the census of 20 June 1900 in Clay, Lafayette County, Missouri.3 John George Roemmich and Nancy Ellen Campbell appeared on the census of 5 May 1910 in Clay, Lafayette County, Missouri.4 John George Roemmich was recorded on a World War I Draft Registration Card, on 12 September 1918 at Lexington, Lafayette County, Missouri; John listed his contact as father Jacob.5 Certainly a widower, John George Roemmich and his children appeared on the census of 19 March 1920 in Clay, Misssouri.6 He also appeared on the census of 18 April 1930 in Clay; Living with George were his daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Alfred Dill, and there daughter Mildred.7 He died on 13 November 1947 at Napoleon, Lafayette County, Missouri, at age 74.1,2
