     William Hugh Dickerson was born on 15 June 1802 at Virginia.1,3 He was the son of Griffith Dickerson and Rebecca Flanary.1 William Hugh Dickerson was probably the 10-15 year old male included during the census of his parents, Griffith Dickerson, on 7 August 1820 at Scott County, Virginia; The Scott County entry provived the fallowing with an authors guess as to who the indiviuals could have been: Free White Persons - Males: under 10 (Thomas, Silas, James), 10-15 (William), 45 over (Griffith). - Females: under 10 (Martha, Jane, ?), 10-15 (?, ?), 16-25 (Sarah), 26-44 (Rebecca).4 William Hugh Dickerson married Mildred "Milly" Templeton.3 William Hugh Dickerson appeared on the census of 1840 in Jackson/Howard County, Missouri; Males: 5-10(1); 30-40(1).

     Anson Hawkins was born in 1803 at Bennington, Bennington County, Vermont.1 He was the son of Benoni Hawkins and Eliabeth Percey.2 Anson Hawkins married Mary Haight circa 1829.1 Anson Hawkins and Mary Haight appeared on the census of 8 October 1850 in Cannon, Kent County, Michigan.3 Anson and Mary Hawkins appeared on the census of 5 June 1860 in Ward 6, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.4 Anson Hawkins appeared on the census of 4 August 1870 in Pentwater, Oceana County, Michigan.5 He and Mary Haight appeared on the census of 5 June 1880 in Pentwater, Oceana County, Michigan.1 Anson Hawkins died in 1907 at Pentwater, Oceana County, Michigan.1 He My grandfather's name was Anson Hawkins and my grandmother's name was Mary Hawkins. They seemed to have lived the greater part of their lives at Pentwater, Michigan, and died there also. According to the records found in an old Bible, he was born 1803 and grandmother was born in 1805. They were both born in Vermont. I. D. Rupp, baptized in the Reformed faith, was a self-taught scholar who learned to read eight or nine languages. For about 20 years he taught school, but devoted his great energies to a variety of literary, editorial, and research pursuits. He produced a large number of volumes on Pennsylvania history, translations of eleven works, from German and Dutch into English, and English into German. He published six volumes of history on a total of 23 counties of Pennsylvania".3
