Romine appeared on the census of 19 April 1940 in Halfway, Baker County, Oregon.2 She married Adam Evan Shaw on 16 October 1959 at Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado.4 Audrey F. Romine died on 11 December 2011 at Bellingham, Washington, at age 93; From an obituray posted at Find-A-Grave: "Audrey Frances Romine Steele Shaw was born in Halfway, Oregon on March 30, 1918 to Oliver Eber and Irene (Poer) Romine. She graduated from Halfway High School and shortly after married Glenn Steele in 1936. They moved with their son, Richard, to Grand Junction in 1941. Glenn passed away in 1957. In 1959, she married Adam Evan Shaw. He preceded her in death in 1981. Audrey retired from the Grand Junction Regional Center in 1974. She was a master gardener, and a wonderful cook. She loved dancing, card parties and enjoyed time with her family and friends. She was able to do extensive traveling in her later years. Audrey volunteered at the Grand Junction Senior Center for over 20 years. In addition to her husband, Evan, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard "Dick" in 1996, and step-son, Lloyd Shaw in 1985. She is survived by her step-daughter, Diane (Gary) Mowry of Lynden, WA; step-daughter, Lillian (Robert) Thatcher of Layton, UT; sister, Joie McDowell of Hillsborough, OR; former daughter-in-law, Loretta (George) Stacey of Richland, OR; four grandchildren, Glenn Lee (Cindy) Steele; Audrene (Rick) Simpson; Blake (Lori) Steele, and Mary Brown. She is also survived by eight step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren. A visitation will take place on Monday, December 19th at 1:00 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast with Memorial Services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to your favorite charity or to Macular Degeneration Research, 22512 Gateway Center Dr., Clarksburg, MD 20871.

Audrey married Glenn Harold Steele on May 29, 1936. The son, Richard Glenn "Dick" Steele. They moved to Grand Junction, Colo., at the beginning of World War II. Audrey had four grandchildren: Glenn (Cindy Womack) Steele, Audrene (Rick) Simpson, Blake (Lori Payne) Steele and Marry Steele Brown. She had are 13 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren. Glenn died in 1957. In 1959, Audrey married A. Evan Shaw. This union brought three stepchildren into her life: Lloyd Shaw, Lilian (Bob) Thatcher and Diane (Gary) Mowry. There are six stepgrandchildren and 15 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Audrey was a loving, caring, kind person, familly members said. Her interests were in socializing and volunteering. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, fishing, traveling, hunting, camping, reading, sewing, bowling and cooking. After her eyesight failed, she liked to visit on the phone and listen to audio books.
Diane had been her "daughter" steadfast friend and companion since 2010, when Audrey moved from Colorado to Washington to be near Diane and her family

     Alfred Patterson Pendleton Jr. was born in March 1919 at Maryland.1 He was the son of Alfred Patterson Pendleton and Marjorie Armstrong.1 Alfred Patterson Pendleton Jr. was recorded in the census of John Samuel Armstrong on 5 April 1920 at Baltimore.1 Alfred Patterson Pendleton Jr. married Nancy Tyson Lee Scott in 1948 at Towson, Maryland.3 Alfred Patterson Pendleton Jr. died before 5 May 2007; "Originally published May 5, 2007 Nancy S. Pendleton, a retired city schools guidance counselor, died of heart disease April 26 at St. Joseph Medical Center. A resident of the Edenwald retirement community in Towson, she was 82. Born Nancy Tyson Lee Scott in Baltimore and raised on a northern Baltimore County farm, she was a 1943 graduate of Bryn Mawr School and that year made her debut at the Bachelors Cotillon. After attending Bryn Mawr College, she earned a master's degree in psychology from what is now Towson University. She also had a master's degree in guidance counseling from Loyola College. She was a guidance counselor at city schools and retired from Lake Clifton High School in 1990. She then traveled extensively. A member of the old Baltimore Comic Opera Company, Mrs. Pendleton performed in Gilbert and Sullivan operettas in the 1960s and 1970s. After living in Roland Park for many years, she moved to Washington Hill in East Baltimore. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. May 23 at St. David's Episcopal Church, 4700 Roland Avenue, where she was a member. Survivors include two sons, Townsend Scott Pendleton of Bowie and Alfred Patterson Pendleton III of Los Angeles; a daughter, Mary L. "Mimi" Parvis of Baltimore; a sister, Leticia S. "Patsy" Haxall of Oceanside, Calif; and six grandchildren. Her 1948 marriage to Alfred Patterson Pendleton Jr. ended in divorce."

     Alan Ray Vette was born on 11 November 1919 at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.1 He was the son of Ira Vette and Alma Julia Ishmael.1 Alan Ray Vette was included in the census of Ira Vette and Alma Julia Ishmael on 15 April 1930 at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.2 Alan Ray Vette began military service on 13 January 1942 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi.1 He married Essie Lee (?) circa 1966.1 Alan Ray Vette ended military service in 1975 at Patrick Air Froce Base, Cocoa Beach, Florida. Col. Vette "flew as an enlisted pilot until 1945 when he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant. Colonel Vette held staff and command positions in Military Airlift Command, Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service and Air Training Command. He retired from Patrick Air Force Base in 1975 where he served as the Director of Manned Space Flight Support Office. He served on active duty with the U.S. Air Force for 33 years. He was a command pilot with over 8,000 flying hours and was a graduate of the Air Command and Staff College. He served with distinction in WW II, Korea and Vietnam. Among his numerous awards and decorations are the Silver Star, Joint Service Commendation, Distinguished Flying Cross with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, the Air Force Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Exceptional Service Medal. During his tour of duty in Vietnam, he was credited with 101 combat rescue missions as Commander of the 37th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron".1 He died on 2 September 2013 at Florada at age 93; From his Obituary: 1) "Col. Vette was born November 11, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois to Ira C. Vette and Alma Ishmael Vette Jenness."1
