     Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Brown was born in March 1852 at "Buena Vista", Westmoreland County, Virginia.1 She was the daughter of Col. Thomas Brown and Sarah Lee Cox.1 Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Brown was included in the census of Col. Thomas Brown and Sarah Lee Cox on 24 August 1860 at Eastern District, Westmoreland County, Virginia.3 "Lizzie" was also included in the census of her parents on 22 July 1870 at Cople, Virginia.4 She married William Mayo on 19 December 1872 at Westmoreland County.1 Mary and William Mayo appeared on the census of June 1880 in Cople, Westmoreland County.2 Lizzie and William also appeared on the census of 14 June 1900 in Cople.5 William and "Lizzie" also appeared on the census of 4 May 1910 in Cople, Virginia.6 A widowed "Lizzie" Mayo appeared on the census of 15 April 1930 in Cople; This census included a widowed sister, Flora E.      Annie Josephine Armstrong was probably Grandmother Armstrong-Burke's cousin "Jo Payne" who had a hand in making sure she was a proper lady and who was one of Grandma Burke's favorites..3 She was listed as with her husband Charles during the census of 1880.3 She was born on 26 May 1852 at Virginia.4,5 She was the daughter of Joseph Norris Armstrong and Mary Francis Corbin.1 Annie Josephine Armstrong was recorded in the census of her parents, Joseph Norris Armstrong and Mary Francis Corbin, on 26 July 1860 at Homeland P.O., Culpeper County.6 She was again listed with her parents in the census on 6 August 1870 at Catalpa district, Culpeper County.7 She married Charles Benjamin Payne, son of William Wood Payne and Mary Louise Farrow, on 24 May 1876 at Rappahannock, Virignia.3,8,4,9 She and Charles appeared on the census of 11 June 1880 in Stevensburg, Culpeper County, Virginia.10 Annie and Charles appeared on the census of 4 June 1900 in Culpeper, Culpeper County, Virginia.4 They also appear on the census of 18 April 1910 in Catalpa, Culpeper County, Virginia.8 Cousin Jo died on 19 April 1916 at Culpeper County, Virginia, at age 63; Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, VA.5

Pratt was listed in the census of her parents, Uriah Pratt and Anne Jane Laurison, on 19 July 1860 at Walker Township, Kent County, Michigan.1 Mary was also listed in the census of her parents on 24 August 1870 at Walker Township.6 Mary married Edward Mortimer Vinson, son of Joseph Vinson and Mariah "Maria" Woodcock, on 27 October 1870 at Kent County, Michigan. Their marriege was witnessed by Mary B. Graves and Mary's brother John L. Pratt.7 Mary and Edward were divorced on 9 June 1875 at Wexford County, Michigan.7 Mary then married James E. Arment, son of George Arment, on 16 November 1883 at Grand Rapids.8,5 James and Mary Arment appeared on the census of 20 June 1900 in Walker Township.8 Mary E. Pratt filed a Civil War Widows Pension Applicaton; App. No: 910416; Certificate No: 680128 on 23 December 1908.9 She was recorded in census of Jennie May Vinson and Phillip Jablonski on 22 April 1910 at Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan.10 Mary was mentioned in a newspaper article concerning the death and funeral (which was held at her home) of her brother John L Pratt on 8 August 1912; An interesting note taken from the Grand Rapids Press: "Due to an undertaker's mistake in transcribing a notice it was announced yesterday that Uriah Pratt instead of Jonn L P Pratt died Tuesday. Uriah, who was the father of John L. Pratt, has been dead Many Years. The Body of John Pratt will be taken from the residence of his sister, Mrs. Mary Arment, 110 Lexintpm avenue, tommarow noon and the funeral services will be held at the Arment home in Walker township Friday at 2 o'cloc"k.11 Mary E. Pratt appeared on the census of 9 January 1920 in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan.12 She died on 15 March 1930 at 199 National ave., NW, Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan; From her ovituary "Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Jennie Thomas of Niddleville; one bother, Samuel Pratt of Hastings, and three grandchildren".13,10,14,2,15

     Edward Carrington Venable was born on 30 January 1853 at Prince Edward County, Virginia.1 He was the son of Samuel Woodson Venable and Elizabeth Travis Carrington.1 Edward Carrington Venable married Helen Skipwith Wilmer, daughter of Rt. Rev. Joseph Pere Bell Wilmer D.D. and Helena Skipwith, circa 1875 at Virginia.1 Edward Carrington Venable died on 8 December 1908 at Baltimore, Maryland, at age 55.1

     Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Beal was born in February 1853 at Tennessee.1,3 She married Geroge Alexander "Alex" Steele, son of Reuben Steele and Elizabeth Faulkner, circa 1876 at Virginia.1,3 Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Beal and Geroge Alexander "Alex" Steele appeared on the census of 5 June 1880 in Powell, Scott County, Virginia.1 Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Beal was recorded in the census of Geroge Alexander "Alex" Steele on 11 June 1900 at Rogersville, Hawkins County, Tennessee.3 Alex and Lizzie also appeared on the census of 27 April 1910 in Rogersville, Hawkins County, Tennessee.2
