The children are Henry, Gertrude, Adeline of Sanfrancisco, Mrs. May Trout of Nevada, Mildred of Arizona, Leon Dorthy and Burrell of Placerville. A daughter, Ruth, who married and went to Guatemala, arrived in Placerville on Thursday to pay the list tribute of respect to her father. Funeral services will be held at Dillinger's Undertaking Parlors at 2 p. m. this Saturday with Interment in Union cemetery.1

     John L Pratt was born on 6 April 1856 at Kent County, Michigan.1,2 He was the son of Uriah Pratt and Anne Jane Laurison.1 John was listed in the census of his parents, Uriah Pratt and Anne Jane Laurison, on 19 July 1860 at Walker Township, Kent County, Michigan.3 He was also listed in the census of his parents on 24 August 1870 at Walker Township.4 He appeared as a witness to the marriage of his sister Mary to Edward Mortimer Vinson on 27 October 1870 at Kent County, Michigan.5 Woring in a Saw Mill, a John Pratt (born in Michigan) appeared on the census of 14 June 1880 in Marinette, Marinette County, Wisconsin; This may not be the John Pratt in question but he did list his father as haveing been born in Canada (England?) and his mother as being born in Ireland.6 John was also recorded during the 1884 Michigan State census of 1884 in Walker Twp.7 He was working as a Teamster when he married Etta May Guyott, daughter of William A Guyott and Mallissa M(atilda) Sweezy, on 8 May 1886 at Grand Rapids.8,9 John and Etta appeared on the Michigan State census of 1894 in Walker Township.10 Working as a day laborer, John appeared boarding with Alec Kaley when he appeard on the census of 19 June 1900 in Boon, Wexford County, Michigan; Boon Township is located about 100 miles north of Grand Rapids. He appeared as widowed and his Father was from England, Mother from Ireland. His 3 older children were living with his sister Mary. His son Leo was missing from the 1900 census.11 John married Marie Adelina Merchant, daughter of Benjamin Merchant and Lauresa Paquette, on 13 August 1904 at Cheboygan, Michigan.12,13,14 John L Pratt died on 6 August 1912 at Kent County, Michigan, at age 56; From the Death Certificate: Married; Father Uriah Pratt born in England, Mother Ann Jane Lawrison born in Ireland. Informant, Mrs Mary Arment.15 He was buried in 1912 at Riverbend Cemetery Lot No. 47., Kent County, Michigan.15 He An interesting note taken from the Grand Rapids Press: "Due to an undertaker's mistake in transcribing a notice it was announced yesterday that Uriah Pratt instead of Jonn L P Pratt died Tuesday. Uriah, who was the father of John L. Pratt, has been dead Many Years. The Body of John Pratt will be taken from the residence of his sister, Mrs. Mary Arment, 110 Lexintpm avenue, tommarow noon and the funeral services will be held at the Arment home in Walker township Friday at 2 o'cloc"k. on 8 August 1912.16

     Jacob Lewis Argabrite was born on 9 April 1856 at Greenbrier County, West Virginia.1,5 He was the son of Pharis G Argabrite and Rosannah Jerrett.4 Jacob was recorded in the census of his parents, Pharis G Argabrite and Rosannah Jerrett, on 19 July 1860 at District 2, Greenbrier County, Virginia.6 He was recorded in the census of his mother Rosannah Jerrett on 23 August 1870 at Blue Sulphur, Greenbrier County, West Virginia.2 Jacob married Isadora "Dora" Mayo on 5 November 1879 at Monroe County, West Virginia.7,3 Jacob and Isadora appeared on the census of 3 June 1880 in Wolf Creek, Monroe County, West Virginia.8 After Isadora's death, Jacob married Clara Cannon, daughter of Marion Cannon and Lydia Jane Holland, in April 1889 at Ventura County, California.1,7 Clara and Jacob Argabrite appeared on the census of 4 June 1900 in Ventura, Ventura County, California.9 Jacob and Clara also appeared on the census of 20 April 1910 in Ventura.10 The last appeared to gether on the census of 6 January 1920 in Ventura.11 He died on 23 May 1921 at Santa Barbara County, California, at age 65.12

     Henry Walker Hawker was born on 13 May 1856 at California.1,2 He was the son of Thomas Hawker and Charlotte Stapley.3 Henry Walker Hawker was included in the census of his parents, Thomas Hawker and Charlotte Stapley, on 19 June 1860 at San Bernardino, San Bernardino County, California; This census included Salvadore Hawker, age 27, race Indian (Native American).4 Henry Walker Hawker married Sarah Emily Baldwin circa 1878 at California.2 Henry Walker Hawker and Sarah Emily Baldwin appeared on the census of 11 June 1880 in San Bernardino, California.5 Henry Walker Hawker appeared on the census of 29 June 1900 in Cucamonga, California.1 He died on 19 November 1938 at Rancho Cucamonga, California, at age 82.2
