They were born in Musselburgh, Inveresk,though he later settled at Portobello.Their father is JOHN DOUGLAS and his mother is JEAN YOUNG.ISABELLA and her twin sister GRACE were born to his second wife MARGARET BROWN in 1797.ISABELLA married JOHN PENNYCUICK and I am descended from her daughter MARGARET who,with her husband, migrated to South Australia in 1854.While doing more research recently on the DOUGLAS family I came across your notes.Coincidently,I had been trying to find out what happened to JANE YOUNG DOUGLAS

     Sina Pierce may be the person who married Jarvis Jones, son of William Jones and Sarah or Mary Gilbert ?, circa 1781 at North Carolina; ("the date of their marriage is inferred from 1790 Census. While two Jarvis Jones households appear in adjoining counties---Pasquotank and Halifax. Jarvis' letter to his son C. P. Jones clearly indicates that he was the household in Pasquotank County. Jarvis apparently had at least 3 daughters by 1st marriage (they are named in will of 1833, all married) before the 2 known to us").¹ Sina Pierce died circa 1798.¹
