McCamish appeared on the census of June 1905 in Beetown, Grant County, Wisconsin; This state census include daughter-in-law Nellie and grandson Lawrence Smith.8 George Alvey Smith died in 1910 at Grant County.1 He and Mary A. McCamish appeared on the census of 16 April 1910 in Waterloo, Grant County, Wisconsin; This census included grandson, Lawrence Smith, age 5.9 George Alvey Smith As with all Smith research, there can be confusion and erros. That this George smith is in actually the Alvey Smith that married Mary McCamish is based on both State and Federal census data. For instance, the 1900 U.S. census list George C. and Mary Oscar and Oliver Smith in Cassville, Grant County. The 1905 Wisconsin State lists Alvey, Mary, Oscar and Oliver Smith in Beetown, Grant County, Wiscons. Certainly the same Family. He is listed as George A Smith on the 1875 Wisconsin State Census. The 1880 U.S. Census list them as Geo. A. and Mary A. and daughter Alvaretta Smith. On the 1910 U.S. Census he is "Al" Smith.10
