     Theodore Jesse Hoover was born on 28 January 1871 at West Branch, Cedar County, Iowa.1,2 He was the son of Jesse Clark Hoover and Hulda Randall Minthorn.1 Theodore Jesse Hoover married Mildred Crew Brooke, daughter of Thomas S Brooke and Mildred Crew Stanley, before 26 June 1900.2,3 Newly married Theodore Jesse Hoover and Mildred Crew Brooke appeared on the census of 26 June 1900 in Amador Valley, Amador County, California.3 They appeared on the census of 7 January 1920 in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County, California.4 They appeared on the census of 10 April 1930 also in Palo Alto.5 Not long before Mildred's death, they appeared on the census of 3 May 1940 in Casa Del Oso, near Davenport, Snata Cruz County, Califonria; This census inlcuded a Butler and his wife (Henry and Elsie Giberson), a maid (Vera T Southern) and a nurse (Jessie Corey).6 Theodore Jesse Hoover died on 5 February 1955 at Casa Del Oso, Santa Cruz County, California, at age 84; From an obituary in the San Francisco Chronical: "Like the former President, Mr. Hoover was a mining engineer. He worked his way through school, and then managed mines in various parts of the world, including Australia, Mexico, Burma, Russia and Alaska"; "In 1919 he became professor of mining and metallurgy at Stanford, and in 1925 became dean. He retired from that post in 1936 and shortly moved to his ranch"; "He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Charles McLean and Mrs. William Hauselt, who lived with him, and Mrs Cornellus G. Meador and Martha "Julia" Juliet Steele, on 1 November 1899 at Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas.1,4 Lillie B. Harper and Joseph Andrew Meador appeared on the census of 11 June 1900 in Pottawatomie, Franklin County, Kansas; This census indicates that Joseph and Lillie had only been married one year and that Lillie had no children. Harold and Blaine may have been from a different mother.1 Lillie and Joseph also appeared on the census of 25 April 1910 in Cutler, Franklin County, Kansas; This census confirmed that Harold and B(E)laine were not Lillie's children.5 Lillie B.      Paul Chapman Newberry was born on 13 June 1871 at Bland County, Virginia.1,3 He was the son of Henley Chapman Newberry and Mary Mollie Steele.1 Paul Chapman Newberry was included during the census of his parents, Mary Mollie Steele, on 3 June 1880 at Seddon, Bland County, Virginia.1 Listing hemself as a Steam Railroad Brakeman, Paul Chapman Newberry appeared in a Hotel run by Margarete Armstrong on the census of 27 April 1910 in Hotel, El Paso, El Paso County, Texas.4 He married Myrtle Ive Dunbar on 11 January 1911 at El Paso, El Paso County, Texas.5,2 Paul and his wife Myrtle were included during the census of his brother and wife , Albert Lake Hancock Newberry and Mary Ella Shannon, on 10 January 1920 at Seddon, Bland County, Virginia; This census included Teelia Steele?, Cook.5 Paul Chapman Newberry and Myrtle Ive Dunbar appeared on the census of 17 April 1930 in Seddon, Bland County, Virginia; This census included a Nephew, Harold Shrewsberry (age 20, born in colorado) and whe is probably his wife not a neice, Alice M Shrewsberry (ange 18, born in Oklahoma).
