     Mary Ruth Pratt was born on 6 October 1853 at Holbeach, Lincolnshire, England.4,5 She was the daughter of William Pratt and Emma Pepper.1,3 After arriving in the United States, Mary was recorded in the at Galen, Wayne County, New York, state census of her parents in 1855.6 She also appeared on the census of her parents of on 1 November 1860 at Galen, Wayne County.7 She was also recorded in her parents home during the1865 state census at Galen, New York.8 She was recorded with her widowed mother during the census of on 28 July 1870 at Galen, Wayne County.9 Having moved to Kent County, Michigan, Mary Ruth Pratt married Louis/Lewis Cass Davidson, son of William C Davidson and Diantha Jarvis, on 13 January 1872 at Walker Township.10,11,12 He marriage to Lewis was acknowledged in her mother Emma Pepper Pratt's deed of inheritance to her living children made on 20 April 1880 at Kent County, Michigan.13 Mary and Lewis Davidson appeared on the census of 8 June 1880 at Dayton Street, Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan.14 After the death of Louis C. Davidson, Mary Ruth Pratt married Melzar B. Barrett, son of Martin J Barrett and Cassandra Morgan, on 25 October 1898 at Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan; William Pratt and Emma Pepper are listed as the brides parents. Since Mary is listed with Lewis Davidson and Melzar is living with his own children on the 1900 U.S. Census in Kent County, the its duration is a mystery?15 They also appeared on the census of 5 June 1900 in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan; Since Lewis is presumably dead by 1900, it proves that dead people can also appear on the U.S. census.16 Mary Ruth Pratt married Chas H. Since Mary is listed with Lewis Davidson and Melzar is living with his own children on the 1900 U.S. Census in Kent County, the its duration is a mystery?1 Melzar B. Marys father George was born 1831 in ohio and was the grandson of George Coon and Christiana Moore, he was also the son of Elizabeth and Philip Coon.      George Edward Pratt was born in 1854 at Kent County, Michigan.3 He was the son of Uriah Pratt and Anne Jane Laurison.1 George Edward Pratt was listed in the census of his parents, Uriah Pratt and Anne Jane Laurison, on 19 July 1860 at Walker Township, Kent County, Michigan.4 He was also listed in the census of his parents on 24 August 1870 at Walker Township.5 Working as a general Laborer, George was boarding with G. T. Philips when he appeared on the census of 2 June 1880 in District 146, Grand Rapids.6 As head of the house, Geroge with his mother appeared on Michigan State census of 1894 in Walker Township, Kent County.7,8 He appeared on the census of 11 May 1910 in Walker Township; He was Farming and Listed as Widowed.9 A farmer, he was listed as Edward G. Pratt when appeared on the census of 9 January 1920 in Walker.10 George Edward Pratt was buried in 1927 at Riverbend Cemetery Lot No. 47, Kent County, Michigan.11 The 1910 census indicated that George was Widowed. If he was ever married, then it must have occurred between 1880 and 1910. It appears that he did not leave any descendants.12

     Ella Brereton Miller was born on 1 February 1854 at Rappahannock County, Virginia.1,5 She was the daughter of Benjamin F. Miller and Sarah E. Neville Browning.3,4 Ella Brereton Miller was recorded in the census of Benjamin F. Miller and Sarah E. Neville Browning on 24 July 1860 at Washington P.O., Rappahannock County, Virginia.4 Ella also was included in the census of her parents on 26 August 1870 at Hampton, Rappahannock County, Virginia.6 Ella Brereton Miller married Samuel Ringgold Armstrong, son of William Cleminson Armstrong and Sarah Catherine Slaughter, on 14 November 1877 at Rappahannock County, Virginia.7,2 Samuel and Ella appeared on the census of 9 June 1880 in Woodville, Rappahannock County, Virginia.8 They were recorded on the census of 14 June 1900 in Stonewall, Rappahannock County, Virginia.1 They appeared on the census of 26 May 1910 in Stonewall, Virginia.9 They also appeared on the census of 19 January 1920 in Stonewall, Virginia; Grandson Alfred R. Armstrong is in the Household.10 Ella Brereton Miller died on 11 February 1925 at Woodville, Rappahannock County, Virginia, at age 71.5
