Anna Diesing was also known as Annie Diesing.2 She The Albrecht - Diesing connection through Studebaker and Nov(w)ack is based more upon family lore than thru actual provable fact. Several branches of the Carl Albrecht descendants verbally passed on this connection. Hilda
Albrecht attested to a connection to the Frank Desing family of Worth, Illinois in her family tree. Norman Pratt's mother also mentioned the Worth Illinois Desing (Diesing/Deising) connection. Certainly there is probably a family connection. The ancestry as displayed in this data base is only a best guess based on a limited accumulation of information.3 She was born on 1 March 1862 at West Phalen, Germany.1 She was born on 1 March 1862 at Prussia.2,4 She was the daughter of Karl Joseph Diesing and Florentina Schaffer.1 Anna Diesing was found on a passenger list on 29 October 1881 at New York, New York; Traveling Alone.5 She witnessed the immigration of Florentina Schaffer on 13 May 1882 at New York, New York; Florentine Diesing, age 59.6,7 Anna Diesing married John Rizzi on 4 November 1884 at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.8 Anna Diesing and John Rizzi appeared on the census of 6 June 1900 in Lake, Chicago Ward 30, Cook County, Illinois.2 John and Anna also appeared on the census of 29 April 1910 in Ward 29, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.9 Anna Diesing appeared on the census of 13 January 1920 in Chicago Ward 29, Cook County, Illinois.10 She died on 15 March 1940 at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, at age 78; Buried in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.1

Franz Xavier Joseph "Frank" Diesing was also known as Franz Desing. He was also known as Frank Deising.6 He was born on 5 April 1862 at Prussia.5 He was the son of Karl Joseph Diesing and Florentina Schaffer.5,2 Frank was recorded with his mother on a passenger on 13 May 1882 at New York, New York; Florentine Diesing, age 59.7,8 Franz Xavier Joseph "Frank" Diesing married Bertha Greinke, daughter of Gottlieb Greinke and Bertha Koelin, on 2 February 1888 at Cook County, Illinois.6,9 As of 1890, the address of Franz Xavier Joseph "Frank" Diesing was 5156 Justine St., Chicago, Illinois.10 Bertha Greinke and Frank Diesing appeared on the census of 13 June 1900 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.7 Bertha and Frank appeared on the census of 30 April 1910 in Palos, Cook County, Illinois.11 They also appeared on the census of 10 January 1920 in Worth, Cook County, Illinois.12 Bertha and Frank also appeared on the census of 24 April 1930 in Palos, Cook County, Illinois.13 Frank Diesing, widower, appeared on the census of 5 April 1940 in Palos, Cook County, Illinois.14 Frank died on 26 November 1943 at Palos, Cook County, Illinois, at age 81.5,3 Were August Albrecht was Frank Desing really related? Frank Diesing is certainly a close Albrecht relative! A Frank Diesing of Worth, Illinois is mentioned as a relative in Frieda Herr's Albrecht family history. How ever, the only Frank D(ei)sing found in Chicago and Worth Illinois, came to the Unites States with his mother Florentine Schaffer and names a daughter Florence. Freida's family history lists Annie Studebaker as Franks mother. This brings into question the relationship between this Desing and the Albrecht's. Could Annie and Florentine be the same person? (probably not) , or are we missing some generations here? The latter seems more likely. DNA may be the only alternativity to really establishing this relationship. The question is, can a male from each family be found who would like to know the answer?1
