     James O.F. Lowing was born in 1819 at New York.¹ He was the son of Isaac Lowing and Lavinia Lampman.^4,5 James O.F. When his father and older brothers left to seek land elsewhere, he remained in NY to attend the needs of his mother and younger sisters. After the father had some of his land cleared and a home built in Michigan, James brought the family And household goods. They left New York by way of Buffalo, around the lakes, and encountered continuous storms for fifteen days before their vessel landed at Grand Haven, where they took a river steamer and landed at Sand Creek, the closest landing to their home. They arrived Oct. 18, 1843. For a year, James worked in the woods of Michigan but realized he could make more money in the carpenter trade in a more settled area. Making arrangements with his brother Holden to purchase a farm for him in Georgetown, he left the community to earn the payments. After drifting for sometime he settled in Burford, Canada, near his brother William, in 1844. There he married Emily Bowen, in 1845, and the first four children were born in that vicinity. In 1855, both James and William, with their families, came to Michigan, and James moved on to his land, near his father's farm. Seven more children were born in Georgetown. He was active in the affairs of that community, and served several years as Justice of the Peace.
Later he sold his farm and moved to Grand Rapids, where he continued to work as a carpenter. He became a member of the Baptist Church, was an Odd Fellow, with all the honors of his local lodge. In spite of their large family, James and Emily sheltered several of William's children, after Mary Ann died. They always called Aunt Emily their "second Mother", for she had lived in Canada, and sympathized with their homesickness for that place."⁶

     George W. Kearsley was born in 1819 at Virginia.² He married Sarah Rebecca Brown, daughter of William Brown and Elizabeth Forrest, circa 1849.^1,2,3 George W. Kearsley and Sarah Rebecca Brown appeared on the census of 31 August 1860 in Charlestown, Jefferson County, Virginia.² Rebecca and George appeared on the census of 29 June 1870 in Grand, Jefferson County, West Virginia.⁴ They appeared on the census of 11 June 1880 in Charles Town, Jefferson County, West Virginia.      Adelaide Josephine Tibbatts was born in 1819 at Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of John Wooleston Tibbatts and Ann Wilkinson Taylor.^1,2 Adelaide Josephine Tibbatts married John Thornton Augustine Washington, son of Samuel Washington and Catherine Townsene Washington, before 1842.¹ Adelaide Josephine Tibbatts died on 13 April 1893 at Newport, Campbell, Kentucky.¹

     Elizabeth "Betsy" Armstrong was born on 1 January 1819 at Jeffersonton, Virginia.^1,4 She was the daughter of John Armstrong and Cynthia Davenport Spilman.¹ Elizabeth "Betsy" Armstrong was listed as a female 10 to 15 in the census of John Armstrong in 1830 at Culpeper County, Virginia; "The John Armstrongs census record was "Free White Males: U5(1), 5-9(1), 10-14(1), 20-29(1), 50-59(1); Free White Females: 10-14(1), 50-59(1). Hmmmm!⁵ T.      Adeline Perkins and William Perkins are likely father and daughter. It has been assumed that William Perkins was Adaline's father. William Perkins is the only Perkins living in the Western Division of Grant County, Wisconsin in 1840. He is a close neighbor of Eldirdge Reynolds and of an appropriate age to be Adeline's Father.      Elias Beal was born on 7 May 1819 at Rogeersville, Hawkins County, Tennessee.^1,2 He married Nancy Elizabeth Booth on 20 September 1840 at Hawkins County, Tennessee.^1,2 Elias Beal and Nancy Elizabeth Booth appeared on the census of 2 October 1850 in Hawkins County, Tennessee; This census included Elias' father John (age 63) and his sister Elizabeth (age 23).³ Elias Beal and Nancy Elizabeth Booth appeared on the census of 7 June 1860 in District 10, Hawkins County, Tennessee.⁴ Elias Beal began military service on 25 July 1863 at Hawkins County, Tennessee; Enlisted as a privatenin the Union's Tennessee 8th Infantry.^5,2 He Captured and held as a prisoner at and survived Andersonville Prison. on 16 April 1864 at Ball's Gap, Tennessee.^2,6 He ended military service on 28 July 1865 at Nashville, Tennessee.⁷ He and Nancy Elizabeth Booth appeared on the census of 14 June 1870 in District 10, Hawkins County, Tennessee.¹ Elias Beal and Nancy Elizabeth Booth appeared on the census of 2 June 1880 in District 10, Hawkins County, Tennessee; This census included sister-in-law, Eliza Beal, age 45, born in Tennessee.⁸ Elias Beal died on 1 February 1893 at Rogersville, Hawkins County, Tennessee, at age 73.²

     James Tillinghast Archer Husband of Mary Brown Archer. Son of Hugh Archer and Susan Matilda Tillinghast; brother of Augustus William, Susan Matilda, Henrietta Martin, Cornelia Ann, and Hugh Jr. Secretary of State of Florida, 1845-1848. Died of heart disease.⁴ He was born on 15 May 1819 at Gillisonville, Jasper County, South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Hugh Archer and Susan Matilda Tillinghast.^2,3 James Tillinghast Archer married Mary Simpson Brown, daughter of Governor Thomas Brown and Elizabeth Simpson, on 13 December 1843 at Leon County, Florida.^1,4,2 Mary and James Archer appeared on the census of October 1850 in 8th Division, Leon County, Floriada.⁵ James Tillinghast Archer died on 4 June 1859 at Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, at age 40.¹

     Gen. Richard Lee Turberville Beale was born on 22 May 1819 at Hickory Hill, Westmoreland County, Virginia.³ He was the son of Robert Beale and Martha Felicia Tuberville.² Gen. Richard Lee Turberville Beale "educated at Norhumberland academy and Dickinson College, Pa. Then taking up the study of law, he was graduated by the law department of the university of Virginia" in 1838 at Virginia.⁴ He married Lucy Maria Brown, daughter of Richard Templeman Brown and Lucy Redman, circa 1840.¹ Lucy and Richard Beale appeared on the census of 23 August 1850 in Cople Parish, Westmoreland County, Virginia.⁵ Richard and Lucy also appeared on the census of 16 August 1860 in Eastern District, Westmoreland County, Virginia; This census included R.B. Davis, age 25.⁶ General Beale "Achieved the rank of Full Brigadier-Gerneral in the Confederate Army. He inlisted for service upon the secession of Virginia assending from 1st Lieutenant (9th VA Cav) to Brigadier-General in command of General Chambliss' brigade" on 6 February 1865.³ Lucy and Richard appeared on the census of 22 July 1870 in Cople, Westmoreland County, Virginia.⁷ Gen. Richard Lee Turberville Beale R.L.T. Beale was elected to the Forty-fifth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Beverly B. Douglas; reelected to the Forty-sixth Congress. between 23 January 1879 and 3 March 1881 at Westmoreland County, Virginia.⁸ They appeared on the census of June 1880 in Cople District, Westmoreland County, Virginia.⁹ He died on 21 April 1893 at Westmoreland County, Virginia, at age 73.³

     Elizabeth Faulkner was born on 6 June 1819 at Surry County, North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of Isaac Faulkner and Sarah Ellis.¹ Elizabeth Faulkner married Reuben Steele, son of Rev. Samuel Steele and Jerusha Powers, on 9 September 1841 at Virginia.² Elizabeth Faulkner and Reuben Steele appeared on the census of 19 September 1850 in Western District, Scott County, Virginia.³ Elizabeth Faulkner and Reuben Steele appeared on the census of 27 August 1860 in Lee County, Virginia.⁴ They appeared on the census of 20 September 1870 in Powel, Scott Couonty, Virginia.⁵ Elizabeth Faulkner died on 1 June 1875 at age 55.¹

     Henry M McRoberts was born on 6 July 1819 at Poplar Plains, Flemming County, Kentucky.¹ He was the son of John James (James John) McRoberts and Mary (?)² Henry M McRoberts married Annis (Anna) Ross circa 1846 at Indiana.^3,4 Henry M McRoberts appeared on the census of 18 July 1850 in Franklin, Marion County, Indiana.⁵ Henry and Anna McRoberts appeared on the census of 31 July 1860 in Franklin, Marion County, Indiana.⁶ They appeared on the census of 28 June 1870 in Hughes, Nodaway County, Missouri.⁷ He appeared on the census of 1 June 1880 in District 252, Hughs, Nodaway County, Missouri.⁸ He died on 3 August 1884 at Graham, Nodaway County, Missouri, at age 65.¹

     Ann Virginia Lakenan was born on 25 August 1819 at Paris, Fauquier County, Virginia.^1,2 She was the daughter of Jesse Lakenan and Hannah Young.² Ann Virginia Lakenan married William Warren Rogers, son of Notley Warren Rogers and Eleanor Nelly Waler, circa 1839 at Virginia.¹ Ann Virginia Lakenan and William Warren Rogers appeared on the census of 31 August 1850 in Ashbys, Fauquier County, Virginia; This census included Hannah Laten, age 50, mother-in-law?⁴ Ann Virginia Lakenan and William Warren Rogers appeared on the census of 15 June 1860 in SW Rev. District, Fauquier County, Virginia.¹ Ann Virginia Lakenan and William Warren Rogers appeared on the census of 19 August 1870 in Scott, Fauquier County, Virginia; This census also included Hannah Lakenan.⁵ Ann Virginia Lakenan and William Warren Rogers appeared on the census of 18 June 1880 in Scott, Fauquier County, Virginia.⁶ Ann Virginia Lakenan died on 28 May 1883 at Paris, Fauquier County, Virginia, at age 63.²

     Moses B. Miller was born on 4 September 1819.¹ He was the son of Benedict Miller and Catherine Beachy.¹ Moses B. Miller married Susannah Hershberger, daughter of Jacob Hershberger and Barbara Summy, circa 1837.² Moses B. Miller and Susannah Hershberger appeared on the census of 8 August 1850 in Paint, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.³ Moses B. Miller and Susannah Hershberger appeared on the census of 31 July 1860 in Paint, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.⁴ Moses B. Miller and Susannah Hershberger appeared on the census of 17 August 1870 in Richland, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.² Moses B. Miller died on 17 October 1902 at age 83.¹

     Iserelda Charlotte Reynolds was also known as Isrelda (?)² She was born on 20 October 1819 at Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of Richard Reynolds and Martha Wills.¹ Iserelda Charlotte Reynolds married James Stephenson on 12 February 1835 at Parke County, Indiana.³ Iserelda Charlotte Reynolds and James Stephenson appeared on the census of 18 September 1850 in District 24, Grant County, Wisconsin.⁴ A widowed Isrelda appeared on the census of 28 July 1860 in Beetown, Grant County, Wisconsin.²

     Nancy Mattice was born on 2 December 1819.¹ She was the daughter of Milbury (Millbery) Mattice and Catherine "Caty" King.¹ Nancy Mattice married Elijah Dietz circa 1839 at New York.^1,2 Nancy Mattice and Elijah Dietz appeared on the census of 2 August 1850 in Berne, Albany County, New York.

     James H. Bailey was born before 1820 at North Carolina. He married Lydia Jones, daughter of Jarvis Jones and Pricilla Mendenhall ?, before 1833 at Guilford County, North Carolina.^2,3 James H. Bailey died before 20 October 1850 at Missouri; There is no evidence of James on the 1850 Census for Lydia and She marries Skinner in 1853.³ See attached note concerning James H. Bailey ;

Note: The FamilySearch entry for Jonathan Denney Bailey (K835-RGW) links his Parents to William Frances Bailey and Lucinda Youngblood. I believe this to be in error. My research finds that "Jonathan" D Bailey was born to James H Bailey and Lydia Jones in North Carolina. James and Lydia were married circa 1833 in Guilford County, North Carolina. While James H Bailey never appears in Morbely, Randolph County, Missouri, Lidy (Lydia), obviously a widow, is present on the 1850 census for Moberly. In her houshold is her son "Jonathan Baily" and her mother Pricella Jones (my 3rd Great-Grandmother). There is a marriage record for the marriage of "Johnathan Bailey and Mary Elizabeth Boucher on 1 Nov 1866 in Randolph County and "Jonathan" and Mary E. Bailey do appear with their oldest child, James R Bailey, on the 1870 census in Randolph County. While "Jonathan" doesn't appear on the 1880 census in Moberly, Mary E Bailey does appear without husband but with her children, James R, Charls R, William E, Mary B, Letha L, and Cora L.. As to where "Jonathan" is in 1880 is at yet to be determined. In 1900 he and Elizabeth appera with their two youngest in Los Angeles. In 1910 they appear in the home of their son-in-law, Gilbert Blanchard. Why the 1900 census lists his birth location Iliois is puzzeling but certainly in error. The 1910 birth location of North Carolina cements his parantage to the North Carolina James Bailey-Lydia Jones connection.⁴

     Frances Armistead Slaughter was born circa 1820 at Virginia.⁴ She was the daughter of William Slaughter and Frances Hill Brown.¹ Frances married William Read Robson, son of John Robson and Ann Read, on 6 March 1843 at Rappahannock County, Virginia.^4,2,3 William and Frances Robson appeared on the census of 10 December 1850 in Madison County, Virginia.⁴ Frances Armistead Slaughter died in 1853 at Virginia; She is missing from the 1860 U.S. census and there appear to have had no children after the birth of her last son James, Frances likely died at or slightly after his birth in 1853.⁵

     Thomas Theopholus Hill was born circa 1820 at Virginia.² He was the son of Thomas Hill and Frances "Fannie" Russel Baptist.¹ Thomas Theopholus Hill married Ariadna (?) circa 1841 at Virginia.² Thomas Theopholus Hill was included in the census of Edward B. Hill and Mildred (?) on 31 October 1850 at Fairfax, Culpeper County, Virginia.²

     Lewis C Jury was born circa 1820 at Virginia.² He was the son of Reese Jury and Nancy Anne Slaughter.¹ Lewis C Jury married Mary (?) circa 1854 at Alabama.²

     Lucy Maria Brown was born circa 1820 at Westmoreland County, Virginia.^1,2 She was the daughter of Richard Templeman Brown and Lucy Redman.¹ Lucy Maria Brown married Gen. Richard Lee Turberville Beale, son of Robert Beale and Martha Felicia Tuberville, circa 1840.¹ Lucy and Richard Beale appeared on the census of 23 August 1850 in Cople Parish, Westmoreland County, Virginia.³ Richard and Lucy also appeared on the census of 16 August 1860 in Eastern District, Westmoreland County, Virginia; This census included R.B. Davis, age 25.⁴ Lucy and Richard appeared on the census of 22 July 1870 in Cople, Westmoreland County, Virginia.⁵ They appeared on the census of June 1880 in Cople District, Westmoreland County, Virginia.⁶ Lucy Maria Brown died in January 1894 at Hague, Westmoreland County, Virginia; From the New York Times, January 18, 1894 "Mrs. Lucy Beale, Widow of the late general and ex-congresman R.L.T. Beale died tuesday night at her home in Westmoreland county Va."²

     R. H. Miller was born circa 1820 at Virginia.² He was the son of (?) Miller.¹ R. H. Miller married an R.H. Miller after 24 August 1850 at Virginia.¹ He and Sarah Ball appeared on the census of 11 September 1860 in P.O. McMullans Mill, Greene County, Virginia.²

     Mary Scott was born circa 1820 at Stow, Norfolk, England.¹ She married Robert Gunns, son of Catherine Gunns, before 1 January 1841 at Downham District, Norfolk, England.^1,2 Mary Scott and Robert Gunns appeared on the census of 6 June 1841 in Stow Bardolph, Norfolk, England.³ Mary and Robert appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 in Wombotsham, Norfolk, England.⁴ Mary Scott and Robert Gunns appeared on the census of 7 April 1861 in Wimbotsham, Norfolk, England.⁵ They appeared on the census of 2 April 1871 in Wimbotsham, Norfolk, England.⁶ The appeared on the census of 3 April 1881 again in Wimbotsham, Norfolk, England.⁷

     Elizabeth Blanche Welsh was born circa 1820 at England.³ She married Joseph Quick before 1850.¹ Elizabeth Blanche Welsh and Joseph Quick appeared on the census of 14 July 1860 in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.³ Elizabeth Blanche Welsh was included in the census of Isaac J. Quick on 23 July 1870 at Kalamazoo, Michigan.⁴ Elizabeth Blanche Welsh died on 8 June 1875 at Kalamazoo County, Michigan; Burried in the Mountain Home Cemetery.^2,5

     Margaret (?) was born circa 1820 at New York.¹ She married Lewis Demander at New York.¹ Margaret (?) and Lewis Demander appeared on the census of 29 August 1850 in Buckingham, Wayne County, Pennsylvania; On the 1850 US Census, the Demander's were living next door to a Thomas and Lydia Coon.² Margaret (?) and Lewis Demander appeared on the census of 18 June 1860 in Tompkins, Delaware County, New York.¹

     Mary (?) was born circa 1820 at Virginia.¹ She married Isaac Denton Osborne, son of Rev George Jackson Osborne and Mary "Polly" Robinette, circa 1836 at Virginia.¹ Mary (?) and Isaac Denton Osborne appeared on the census of 31 July 1850 in District 31, Lee County, Virginia.¹

     James Greenwood was born circa 1820 at North Carolina.¹ He married Lydia Reece circa 1844 at North Carolina.¹ James and Lydia Greenwood appeared on the census of 28 August 1850 in Hollow Springs, Surry County, North Carolina.² James and Lydia appeared on the census of 13 July 1860 in Stewarts Creek, Surry County, North Carolina.¹ James and Lydia also appeared on the census of 20 June 1870 in Mt. Airy, Surry County, North Carolina.³ They also appeared on the census of between 18 June 1880 and 19 June 1880 in Mount Airy, Surry County, North Carolins.⁴ James Greenwood died on 13 June 1882 at Surry County, North Carolina.⁵

     Ealinor Duncan was born circa 1820 at Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of (?) Duncan.² Ealinor Duncan married Samuel S. Ligon circa 1839 at Missouri.^1,3

     William Richardson was born circa 1820 at South Carolina.¹ He was the son of (?) Richardson.² William Richardson married Elizabeth (?) circa 1844 at Alabama.³ William Richardson appeared on the census of 19 October 1850 in Lowndes, Lowndes County, Alabama; Included in the 1850 census for W. A. Richardson are a man and obviously his son, Elias (45) and Joseph (16) Bullock. Elias is old enough to have been Eliza's father. Was Elizabeth a Bullock?⁴ He appeared on the census of 15 September 1860 in Southern Division, Mount Willing P.O., Lowndes County, Alabama; I believe that this is the family of the Martha Richardson who married (Thomas) Isaiah Harbour.³ He married Mary Jane Stewart after 1862 at Texas; The date of this marriage is derived from the gap in children's ages, 1862-1868 and the appearent appearence of what would be a new wife.³ William and Mary Richardson appeared on the census of 5 August 1870 in Lavaca County, Texas.⁵ William and Mary also appeared on the census of 16 June 1880 in Precinct 3, Lavaca County, Texas; Included in William's household is a George (58) and John(16) Hargrove farmer and farm hand. Relatives?⁶

     William W. Richardson was born circa 1820 at Georgia.¹ He married Nancy A. (?) circa 1850 at Georgia.¹ William W. Richardson appeared on the census of 17 July 1860 in Western Division, Tallapoosa County, Georgia.¹

     Elisa "N"? (?) was born circa 1820 at Ohio.¹ She witnessed the marriage of an unknown person and Alexander Coon circa 1836 at Ohio.¹ Elisa "N"? (?) was included in the census of Alexander Coon on 12 September 1850 at Shawnee, Allen County, Ohio; This census recorded included Hannah Owen, age 70, Elisa's mother?¹ Elisa "N"? (?) was included in the census of Alexander Coon on 14 July 1860 at Shawnee, Allen County, Ohio.³ Elisa "N"? (?) was included in the census of Alexander Coon on 8 June 1870 at Shawnee, Allen County, Ohio.⁴ Elisa "N"? (?) was included in the census of Alexander Coon on 7 June 1880 at Shawnee, Allen County, Ohio.⁵

     John Watson was born circa 1820 at Littleport, Cambridgeshire, England.² He was the son of Ann (?)¹ John Watson married Elizabeth (?) before 1843.² John and Elizabeth Watson appeared on the census of 7 April 1861 at Wisbeach Road, Littleport, Cambridgeshire, England.²

     Matilda (?) was born circa 1820 at England.¹ She married (?) Norman circa 1844 at Ohio.² Matilda (?) married Charles John Blanchett, son of John Blanchett and Ann (?), after 1850 at Ohio.¹ Matilda (?) and Charles John Blanchett appeared on the census of 1 June 1860 in Avon, Lorain County, Ohio.³
