     William Douglas Edmonston was born on 28 March 1870 at Duddingston, Midlothian, Scotland.^3,2,1,4 He was the son of Samuel Edmonston and Jane/Janet Young Douglas.² A biography of William and his father provides the fallowing: William Douglas Edmonston, artist and scientist, now in charge of the Unites States Entomological Bureau at Colorado Springs, was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1870. His father, Samuel Edmonston, was also a native of that city, born in the year 1823, and in Scotland he married Miss Jane Young Douglas. Following the birth of their son, William Douglas, they came to the United States, making their way to Denver, Colorado, and later taking up in their abode at Larkspur, where both passed away, the father dying in the year 1904, while the mother’s death occurred in 1910. The father possessed considerable artistic skill, painting pictures of merit but only for his own pleasure, as his patrimony was sufficient to supply his wants. William Douglas Edmonston pursued his education in the schools of his native city and was graduated from the Royal School of Arts of Edinburgh with the class of 1887. He devoted his time and attention to art until 1893 and then took charge of a tract of land in Douglas county, Colorado, for English owners, remaining in that business connection until 1901, when he entered the government service as agent of the general land office. In 1905 he was transferred to the forest service and in 1910 was given a position in the entomological department. He is now in charge of the station of Colorado Springs, which is headquarters for work of this character for Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, New Mexico and Arizona. He has attained thoroughness and proficiency in this science, as he did in art, and his work is of a valuable character. In 1896, at Castle Rock, Colorado, Mr. Edmonston was married to Miss Laura M. Kenner, a daughter of the late John Kenner, who came to Colorado in 1859. Mr. and Mrs. Edmonston are the parents of two children: Gladys Hampton, the wife of Howard E Cox, of Denver, by whom she has one child, Roberta May Cox; and Samuel Maxwell Edmonston, born in 1898. The religious faith of the family is that of the Presbyterian church and in political belief Mr. Edmonston is a republican. He belongs to the Colorado Springs Art Society and outside of his official duties concentrates his time and attention upon art. He has produced some very attractive and valuable canvases and had five paintings on exhibition in the art exposition which was held in the Antlers Hotel in Colorado Springs in July, 1918. His powers in this direction have constantly developed and his native talents now find expression in mostfinished and pleasing work.⁵

Kinner, daughter of John Kinner and Elizabeth Almeda Field, on 4 May 1894 at Douglas County, Colorado.^3,2 William and Laura appeared on the census of 4 June 1900 in Larkspur District, Douglas County, Colorado.³ William Douglas Edmonston and Harry Eugene Burke Sr. began their life long friendship at Buearu of Entomology, Western States.^9,10 William and Laura also appeared together on the census of 21 April 1910 in Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado.¹¹ After divorcing Laura Kinner sometime before 1915, Willie married Cora F Fifer, daughter of Silas Fifer and Emma Bennett, in 1925.¹ Willie and Cora appeared on the census of 5 April 1930 in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona.¹ Interestingly the also appeared on the census of 9 April 1930 in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County, California, so they were counted twice in 1930. Not really that unsual.¹² William Douglas Edmonston died on 8 November 1936 at Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, at age 66; From the death certificate - Father: Samuel Edmonston; Mother: .....Douglas; informant: Cora Edmonston, Tucson, Arisona. Harvey both worked for the Buearu of Entomology in Oregon. At some point, "Willie's" wife, Laura Kinner ran off and appearently married B.T. That relationship appearently did not last long and Laura settled in the Denver area with B.T. and her son, Donald. She was living with her son-in-law and Her daughter, Howard and Gladys Cox, for the 1940 census in Denver.²

     Eula M. Gunter was born circa April 1870 at Texas.¹ She was the daughter of Jonathan "Jot" Gunter and Roxanna Ford.¹ Eula M. Gunter was included in the census of Roxanna Ford and Jonathan "Jot" Gunter on 11 July 1870 at Sherman, Grayson County, Texas; Jot lists himself as a Lawyer.¹ Eula M. Gunter was included in the census of Jonathan "Jot" Gunter and Roxanna Ford on 5 June 1880 at Sherman, Grayson County, Texas.² Eula M. Gunter married John Hardie in 1892 at Texas.³ Eula Gunter Hardie was included in the census of her parents on 9 June 1900 at Shreman, Grayson County, Texas.³ Because her children by then are living with their grandmother, Eula appears to have died before 1910 at Texas.⁴

Sperry, before January 1920 at California.¹ Myra May Bennett was included in the census of M Manning Clark and Sadie A Stevenson on 12 May 1930 at Dent, San Joaquin County, California.⁴ Myra May Bennett was also included in the census of son and daughter-in-law on 5 April 1940 at Oakdale, Stanislaus County, California; This census also included Sadie's father George H. "Myra May Bennett Clark Salmon was married to Melvin Leroy Clark(e). They were the parents of 3 sons: Melvin Manning Clark, Lloyd Clark, and Rayado Clark. At some point in the early part of the 20th century, Melvin left his family to go north to Canada and seek his fortune. He didn't return ... my GiGi (Myra) was left alone to raise these small children. In her family history, she describes herself as a widow and eventually she marries a second cousin, William C. Salmon. Her second husband died in the early 40's and is buried with his first wife in Pioneer Cemetery, Manteca Ca. GiGi is laid to rest here at Oaklawn Memorial Park, and is with her son (Manning) and granddaughter (Lorraine Biaggi). Other members of the family are also here (Sadie Clark , and John Biaggi). NOTE: GG may not have known this, but her first husband was alive and well until 1955. He is buried in Kamloops BC. (We love genealogy.)³

     Jasper Newton Ashcraft was born on 20 October 1870 at Mississippi.^1,3 He was the son of S. A. Ashcraft and Mary E. (?)² Jasper Newton Ashcraft appeared on the of census his parents, S.A. and Mary E. Ashcraft, of 14 June 1880 in Precinct 4, Bell County, Texas.² He married Mary Popham circa 1893 at Texas.^1,3 Jasper Newton Ashcraft and Mary Popham appeared on the census of 7 June 1900 in Precinct 6, Coryell County, Texas.⁴ Jasper Newton Ashcraft and Mary Popham appeared on the census of 30 April 1910 in Justice Precinct 6, McLennan County, Texas.⁵ They appeared on the census of 14 January 1920 in Justice Precinct 5, Milam County, Texas.⁶ Jasper and Mary appeared on the census of 3 May 1940 in Jusltice Precinct 1, Tyler County, Texas; In addition to their son Elmer, this census included two granddaughters, Mary Jane (9) and Dorothy Ann (5) Ashcraft.⁷ Jasper Newton Ashcraft died on 15 February 1959 at Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, at age 88.^1,3

     Eva Embrey was born on 29 October 1870 at Kelly Ford, Virginia.² She was the daughter of Sanford Dallas Embrey and Cassandra Dalvinia Gay.² Eva Embrey was included in the census of Sanford Dallas Embrey and Cassandra Dalvinia Gay on 9 June 1880 at Rappahannock, Fauquier County, Virginia.³ Eva Embrey married George Burch Wilkes, son of Corbin Wilkes and Netta (?), on 27 October 1898.¹ Eva Embrey and George Burch Wilkes appeared on the census of 26 April 1910 in Charlottesville, Virginia.⁴ Eva and George also appeared on the census of 7 January 1920 in Charlottesville, Virginia.⁵ A widdowed Eva Wilkens appeared on the census of 13 April 1930 in Charlottesville, Virginia.⁶ George and Eva and George Burch Wilkes appeared on the census of 10 April 1940 in Remington, Fauquier County, Virginia.⁷ Eva Embrey died on 5 November 1952 at Washington, District of Columbia, at age 82.²

     Martha Adella "Della" Reynolds was born in November 1870 at California.^1,4 She was the daughter of James Andrew Reynolds and Ambrosette Stephenson.¹ Martha Adella "Della" Reynolds was recorded in the census of John Salmon and Elizabeth Francis Harelson on 8 June 1880 at Castoria, San Joaquin County, California.⁵ She was recorded in the census of James Andrew Reynolds and Ambrosette Stephenson on 10 June 1880 at Castoria, San Joaquin County, California.¹ Martha Adella "Della" Reynolds married Walter Wood Hornor, son of Charles W. Hornor and Sarah Elizabeth Smith, on 12 November 1890 at San Joaquin County, California.^6,3 Martha Adella "Della" Reynolds and Walter Wood Hornor appeared on the census of 12 June 1900 in Tulare, San Joaquin County, Califronia; They were living just doors from Della's father James Reynolds.⁴ They appeared on the census of 21 April 1910 also in Stockton, San Joaquin County, California.⁷ Della and Walter appeared on the census of 9 January 1920 also in Stockton.² They were still in Stockton for the census of 2 April 1930.⁶ Martha Adella "Della" Reynolds died on 28 February 1937 at San Joaquin County, Califronia, at age 66.⁸

     John Slager was born in November 1870 at Zeland, Holland.^1,2 He married Pearl "Pruella" Coon, daughter of (?) Cridler and Arminda Coon, on 14 January 1892 at Michigan.³ Perella and John appeared on the Michigan State census of 1894 in Walker Township, Kent County.⁴ Pearl and John appeared on the census of 21 June 1900 in Cannon, Kent County, Michigan.¹ They appeared on the census of 6 May 1910 in Wyoming, Michigan.⁵ They last appeared together on the census of 15 January 1920 in Wyoming, Michigan.⁶ John Slager appeared on the census of 14 April 1930 in Wyoming, Kent County, Michigan; John lists himself and widowed.⁷

     Lulu E. Evitis was born in November 1870 at Michigan.¹ She married Charles C. Davidson, son of Oscar Davidson and Eliza "Lida" Tubbs, circa 1890 at Michigan.¹ Lulu E. Evitis and Charles C. Davidson appeared on the census of 5 June 1900 in Walker Township, Kent County, Michigan; This census included a divorced sister-in-law, Lizzie C. Evits.³ Lulu E. Evitis married Frank W. Ball in 1907 at Kent County, Michigan.⁴ Frank and Lulu Ball appeared on the census of 25 April 1910 in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan.⁴ A widowed Lulu Ball and two sons appeared on the census of 4 January 1920 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon.⁵ Lulu and two sons appeared on the census of 17 April 1930 in South Kelly Butte, Multnomah County, Oregon.⁶ Lulu E. Evitis died in 1949 at Multnomah County, Oregon; Head stone includes both names Ball and Davidson. Burial: Lincoln Memorial Park, Portland.²

     Frances Todd Fauntleroy was born on 10 November 1870.¹ She married Benjamin Armistead Brown, son of Capt. Joseph Daniel Brown and Pamela Somerville Yancey, circa 1893 at Virginia.^1,2 Frances Todd Fauntleroy and Benjamin Armistead Brown appeared on the census of 9 June 1900 in Robertson, Madison County, Virginia.² Frances Todd Fauntleroy died on 27 January 1974 at age 103.¹

     Ella Aquilla Richardson was born on 12 November 1870 at Texas.^1,2 She was the daughter of William Richardson and Mary Jane Stewart.¹ Ella Aquilla Richardson married George Stricklin circa 1890 at Texas.³ George and Ella Stricklin appeared on the census of 5 June 1900 in Justice Precinct 3, Lavaca County, Texas; This census also included George's mother, Martha Dyer.³ Ella and George appeared on the census of 18 April 1910 in Floresville, Wilson County, Texas.⁴ George and Ella moved to California and appeared on the census of between 17 January 1920 and 30 January 1920 in Fillmore, Ventura County, California; Ella's father born in South Carolina.⁵ Ella Aquilla Richardson died on 29 January 1957 at Ventura County, California, at age 86.²

     Donna Isabell Brink was born on 24 November 1870 at Owego, Tioga County, New York.¹ She was the daughter of John James Brink and Pauline Gertrude Pease.¹ Donna Isabell Brink married Union Noble Bethel, son of Union Bethel and Evaline Mary Parrett, on 5 December 1893 at New York.¹ Donna and Union Bethel appeared on the census of 4 June 1900 in Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey.² They appeared on the census of 15 April 1910 in Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey.³ Union and Donna also appeared on the census of 14 April 1930 in Montclair.⁴ Donna Isabell Brink died on 9 October 1954 at Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey, at age 83; From her obituary: "Surviving are three sons, Richard S. and Francis C., both of Montclari, and John W. of South Essex, Mass; a brother, Arthur Brink of Spingfield, Mo; two sisters, Mrs. John Tilley and Mrs. Thomas Stewart, both of New York State, and sex grandchildren and three great grand-children."¹

     Jasper Hammel was born in December 1870 at Edmore, Montcalm County, Michigan.^1,2 He was the son of John Hammel and Abalona Buck.¹ Jasper Hammel was included in the census of John Hammel and Abalona Buck on 1 June 1880 at Belvidere, Montcalm County.³ Jasper Hammel married Ada Mae Hillman, daughter of Benjamin Franklin Hillman and Minerva McKeough, on 11 October 1900 at Michigan.⁴ Jasper Hammel and Ada Mae Hillman appeared on the census of 9 May 1910 in Belvidere, Michigan.⁵ Jasper and Ada also appeared on the census of 15 January 1920 in Belvidere.⁶ They appeared on the census of 2 April 1930; They were living next door to Ada's parents, B.F. and Minerva Hillmn.⁷ Jasper Hammel died in 1959 at Edmore.²

     Florence King was born in December 1870 at Arkansas.^1,2 She was the daughter of George Washington King and Lydia Jane Van Hoose.¹ Florence King was included in the census of George Washington King and Lydia Jane Van Hoose on 11 June 1880 at White River, Washington County, Arkansas; This census included George's mother Tennessee Ann Combs King, age 60.¹ Florence King married Frances Marion Weigart on 24 February 1889 at Washington County, Arkansas.³ Florence King and Frances Marion Weigart appeared on the census of 8 June 1900 in White River, Washington County, Arkansas.² Frances and Florence Weigart appeared on the census of 12 May 1910 in Hogan, Mayes County, Oklahoma.⁴ Florence King was included in the census of her son-in-law and daughter, George Kroger and Lydia E. Weigart, on 1 February 1920 at Bigheart, Osage County, Oklahoma.⁵

     Lucy H "Lula" Jefferson was born on 8 December 1870 at Missouri.^1,2 She was the daughter of Benjamin W Jefferson and Orra Jane Best.² Lucy H "Lula" Jefferson appeared on the census her parents, B. W. and Orra Jefferson, of 5 June 1880 in Clay, Lafayette County, Missouri.³ She married William C. Renick, son of John Strother Renick and Rebecca J. Pallette, circa 1894 at Missouri.¹ Lucy H "Lula" Jefferson and William C. Renick appeared on the census of 18 June 1900 in Sniabar, Lafayette County, Missouri.⁴ Lula died on 10 June 1902 at Lafayette County, Missouri, at age 31.²

     Jerome Blair Kitts was born on 14 December 1870 at Seddon, Bland County, Virginia.^1,3 He was the son of Ghanam Kitts and Abigail Ann "Annie" Steele.¹ Jerome Blair Kitts was included during the census of his parents, Ghanam Kitts and Abigail Ann "Annie" Steele, on 5 June 1880 at Seddod, Bland County, Virginia.¹ Jerome Blair Kitts married Lucy Ella Humphreys, daughter of George Humphreys and Mary F.      Emma L. Scribner was born on 29 December 1870 at California.^1,2 She was the daughter of (?) Scott.² Emma L. Scribner was born in 1878 at California.³ She married Frank Reager, son of Martin Reager and Amanda Goodrich, circa 1900.¹ Emma L. Scribner and Frank Reager appeared on the census of 2 June 1900 in Township 4, Glenn County, California.¹ Emma L. Scribner and Frank Reager appeared on the census of 13 January 1920 in Orland, Glenn County, California; This census includes Emma's sister the widowed Josephine Morgan.³ Emma L. Scribner died on 27 March 1946 at Glenn County, California, at age 75.²

     George H. Tata Greer was born circa 1871 at Virginia.⁴ He was the son of George H. T. Greer and Mattie E. (?)² George H. Tata Greer married Sarah "Sadie" Armstrong, daughter of Samuel Ringgold Armstrong and Ella Brereton Miller, circa 1910 at Virginia.¹ George H.
