Violet was recorded during the census of her parents, Edward Patrick Farrell and Eliza Laura "Gram" Steele, on 19 April 1910 at Baker City, Baker County, Oregon.2 She was also one of six childr listed in the census of her parents on 17 January 1920 at Auburn, California.3 Violet first married Cornelius Parson Plummer, son of Amos Parson Plummer and Sarah Tipple, at California. He was a brother of her sister Edna's husband Spencer (Amos) Plummer. Neil died of internal injuries recieved as he rode as a mechanic in a race car driven by Clyde Rader.
