Went missing on reconnaissance mission to
northern tip of New Guinea. - Wreck initially found in 1956. Further investigation by the Australians in 1957 found the crew remains and determined the plane
had bullet holes and that an engine had been hit by gunfire and the medium bomber had crashed in a box canyon, Upper Bubu Valley near Mount Strong.
