     James Williams Green was born on 31 December 1890 at Culpeper County, Virginia.¹ He was the son of Angus McD. Green and Sarah E.      Alice Smits This Alice Smits is reported to be the daughter of Anton and Disere Smits of Glenmore, Wisconsin. On the Apr 30-May2 1910 U.S. census, their daughter Alice, age 21 and single is listed with them. The census record for Charles Adlebush shows him with wife Alice age 19 and son William. Interesting but I suppose it is possible that both Alice's are one and the same?³ She was born in 1891 at Wisconsin.¹ She and Charles Henry Adlebush appeared on the census of 2 May 1910 in Ward 8, Green Bay, Brown County, Wisconsin.¹ Alice Smits married Charles Henry Adlebush, son of Francis Adlebush and Jane Eddy, on 17 August 1910 at Wisconsin; See Brown County Wi v15, p 111.^1,2 Alice Smits died on 7 March 1918 at Green Bay, Wisconsin.²
