MERIDIAN--Private graveside services for Mrs. Ettie M. Carter, 90, of 332 W. Idaho, Meridian, who died Ssaturday as the result of a fire at her home, were conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Meridian Cemetery.

The Rev. Ralph Fothergill of the Meridian United Methodist Church officiated. Arrangements were under direction of Robison Chapel of the Chimes.

Mrs. Carter was born Oct. 20, 1880, at Ft. Blackmore, Va. She married Henry C. Carter on Dec. 31, 1903, at Gato City, Va. He died July 2, 1961. She had lived in Meridian since 1905.

She was a member of the Meridian United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, William H. Carter, Springfield, Ore., and four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.3

Farwell on 9 June 1880 at Leadville, Lake County, Colorado.1 Gustavia Aleene Harrington married William Nathan Chatfield, son of William Stoddard Chatfield and Laura Emily Dole, on 4 September 1904 at Denver, Arapahoe County, Colorado.3,4 Gustavia Aleene Harrington and William Nathan Chatfield appeared on the census of 7 May 1910 in Goldfield, Esmeralda County, Nevada.5 Gustavia Aleene Harrington and William Nathan Chatfield were found on a passenger list on 15 April 1922 at San Francisco, California; Traveling aboard the S.S.
